For two weeks we have arranged our activities around friendship. Discussions, poems, arts and crafts, biscuit making and decorating, coffee afternoon, sports and games. Yesterday our manager used her artistic skills for our friendship tree. The residents wrote what friendship meant to them. Ebony and I then decorated the tree with Danielle's help.

Friendship blossoms when you least expect it. Our beautiful residents bonded over arts and crafts and flower arranging. Happy chatter about past friendships and holidays. We all enjoyed a sing song and had some beautiful flowers in their own room to show for it.

Key Responsibilities

* Cater for special diets, allergies, and modified textures.
* Maintain high standards of food hygiene, cleanliness, and kitchen safety.
* Ensure compliance with Food Hygiene Regulations, HACCP, and COSHH.
* Manage food stock, storage, and stock rotation.
* Work closely with the care team to meet residents’ nutritional needs.
* Help create varied and seasonal menus that residents enjoy.

What We’re Looking For

* Previous experience as a Chef, ideally within a care home, healthcare, or catering environment.
* Food Hygiene Certificate (Level 2 or above) is desirable.
