Feeling tired, foggy or like you’re running on empty? Your body may need better fuel—and fuel means far more than food. 💙

Your brain and body rely on many different inputs to do their jobs:

• Food for usable energy and essential nutrients
• Breath for oxygen
• Water for hydration
• Light to support your natural rhythms
• Rest for recovery and repair
• Movement to keep your systems working
• Clear sensory information to understand your surroundings and guide your response

When these inputs aren’t meeting your body’s needs, you might notice:

• Energy crashes
• Brain fog or poor concentration
• Movement feeling harder than it should
• Slower recovery
• Difficulty adapting to physical or mental demands

These symptoms aren’t your body being difficult. They’re communication.

Before asking your body for more output, it can be helpful to ask:

What input might it need more of?

DM FUEL if you feel like you’re running on empty and would like help exploring what your body may need. 💙

Flow doesn’t have to be complicated.

Your body is moving blood, oxygen and lymph every second—but breathing and muscle movement can help support that process.

If you’ve been sitting for a while or feel heavy and sluggish, try this:

🫁 BREATHE
Take three slow nasal breaths, allowing your lower ribs to expand.

🦵 PUMP
Complete ten ankle pumps or calf raises to activate the lower-leg muscle pump.

🚶‍♀️ MOVE
Walk for thirty seconds and allow your whole body to move naturally.

Then pause and notice:

• Do your hands or feet feel warmer?
• Do you feel lighter or more alert?
• Has your breathing changed?
• Does movement feel easier?

Your body is made up of many systems, and they work best when they work together.

Breathe. Pump. Move. Keep it simple and notice the response.

Save this post so you can try it later, and share it with someone who spends a lot of time sitting.

DM FLOW if you’d like help understanding what your body may need. 💙

Cold hands. Puffy ankles. Shallow breathing. Slow recovery. Brain fog.

Five separate problems—or one body asking you to pay attention to FLOW?

Your symptoms are not isolated messages from disconnected body parts. Your systems continuously communicate and influence one another.

🩸 Blood flow delivers oxygen and nutrients
🫁 Breathing supports oxygen exchange and creates pressure changes
💧 Lymph movement helps return excess fluid and clear cellular waste from the tissues

Together, these systems support delivery and removal.

When flow isn’t working as efficiently as it could, you may notice:

1️⃣ Cold hands or feet
2️⃣ Puffiness, swelling or heaviness
3️⃣ Slow recovery after activity
4️⃣ Shallow or restricted breathing
5️⃣ Feeling sluggish or foggy

Instead of dismissing each symptom separately, start asking:

What is my body trying to communicate?

Which number do you recognise most? Tell me below. 👇

Save this post, share it with someone who needs it, and follow as we work through each stage of the body together.

If several of these feel familiar, DM FLOW and tell me what you’ve been noticing. 💙

Balance isn’t strength. It’s information.

Your brain creates balance by combining information from:

👁️ Vision
👂 Your inner-ear balance system
🧠 Body awareness

These systems help your brain understand your surroundings, where your body is within them and whether it feels able to balance safely.

If that information isn’t clear or reliable, repeatedly practising the movement only practises the outcome.

My approach is different.

First, we assess and train the systems that create balance. Once your brain can understand and trust the information it’s receiving, we integrate it into movement.

Improve the input. Then train the movement.

Where does your balance feel least reliable: uneven ground, stairs or quick turns?

Today, 100 people have chosen to follow Restore Move Thrive—and I’m genuinely so grateful that you’re here.

This page is only just beginning. I created it to help you understand your body differently: how breathing, the brain, the nervous system, flow and movement communicate and work together.

Because your body isn’t a collection of separate parts—and your symptoms aren’t something to battle. They’re communication we can learn to understand.

Thank you for following, reading, sharing and joining me at the beginning of this journey.

I’d love to know: what would you most like help understanding about your body?

Tell me in the comments below. 👇

Does your body struggle to switch off—even when the stressful moment has passed? 💙

You might notice:

• Feeling wired but exhausted
• Sleeping but never feeling rested
• Small things leaving you overwhelmed or on edge
• Stress staying in your body long after the situation has ended
• Feeling tense, guarded or ready to react

Your body isn’t fighting you. It’s communicating.

These experiences can have many possible causes, but they may be signs that your system is struggling to respond, adapt and settle again.

In my systems hierarchy, Stage 1 is Regulate.

This doesn’t mean being calm all the time. It means being able to respond when something demands your attention—and then shift state when that moment has passed.

Before asking the body to move more or perform better, we need to understand the foundations supporting it.

Are you listening to what your body is communicating?

Recognise yourself in these signs? DM START and tell me what you’ve been noticing.

Movement isn’t step one.

I’ve developed my own whole-body approach by blending multiple systems and addressing each one at the right time.

Because movement doesn’t happen in isolation. It is built from the ground up:

1. REGULATE
The nervous system needs to be responsive—able to shift state as the task changes, without staying stuck for longer than necessary.

When the body is preoccupied with protection, other tasks can become harder.

2. FLOW
Blood, breath and lymph work together to carry what we need around the body and take away what we don’t.

If flow is limited, the body has less ability to receive, exchange and clear what it needs to.

3. FUEL
The brain and body need oxygen, water and nutrients to create energy.

No fuel means less capacity for movement, recovery and change.

4. LEARN TO MOVE
We build foundation movements while integrating the visual, vestibular and proprioceptive systems.

If the brain cannot interpret the input clearly or feel safe with it, the body may guard or limit movement.

5. MOVE + PERFORM
Now we strengthen, condition, run, train and perform.

Each stage depends on the foundations beneath it. If one layer isn’t working well, the next has less to work with.

That’s why I don’t simply chase the painful area. I look at what the whole system needs—and address the right thing at the right time.

If you’ve been treating the same pain repeatedly without lasting change, message me READY and let’s look beyond the painful part.

Would you join me for a guided cold-water dipping experience? 💙

I’m exploring the idea of offering small, supportive local sessions for people who would like to try cold-water dipping safely, calmly and with guidance.

Cold-water dipping can offer more than simply feeling cold. When approached gradually and safely, it may help you:

💧 Feel more awake and energised
💧 Release tension and lift your mood
💧 Practise calming your breathing
💧 Learn how to respond to stress under pressure
💧 Build confidence and trust in your body
💧 Feel more present and connected
💧 Enjoy the encouragement and connection of dipping with others

This would not be about forcing yourself into the water, staying in for a set amount of time or proving how tough you are.

You would be guided to enter slowly, notice your body’s response, use your breathing and listen to what you need. You would always be free to get out whenever it feels right for you.

Would you be interested in joining?

Please choose one of the options below:

💙 YES — I’d love to hear about the first dates
💙 MAYBE — I’m interested but would like more information
💙 NOT YET — I’d like to follow along for now

Comment YES, MAYBE or NOT YET, or send me a private message. Your response will help me decide whether to go ahead and plan the first sessions. 💙

Did I fall in? Yes.
Did I laugh? Absolutely. 😂💙

Somewhere along the way, adulthood can become all responsibilities, routines and things that need doing.

But play matters too.

It brings us into the present, gives the mind a break and creates those moments of laughter and connection that help us feel alive.

Movement doesn’t always need to be structured, serious or focused on results. Sometimes it can simply be fun.

When did you last do something purely because it made you laugh?
