At just 31 years old, my client was thrown into surgical menopause after developing sepsis during a C Section and having to have a hysterectomy.

No gradual transition.
No warning.
Pretty much no support designed for women in her situation.

Most menopause advice is aimed at women going through natural menopause there is still very little support for women going through surgical or chemical menopause. It is getting better but there is still a long way to go.

The hot flushes.
The anxiety.
The exhaustion.
The confusion.
The feeling that nobody truly understood what she was experiencing.

After 7 years of debilitating symptoms, she was referred to me and together over the past few months we began to get her life back.

I helped her to understand how the hysterectomy had affected her hormones, her mental, physical and emotional health. We vastly improved her diet, giving her the nourishment she so badly needed, fully supported her overall wellbeing and helping her regain confidence in herself again. Working alongside her GP we optimised her HRT (this has been challenging and continues to be due to lack of up to date training for the GP but that’s a whole other story)

Are you in your 40s or 50s and noticing you are suddenly gaining weight especially around your middle despite eating the same and exercising? Midlife weight gain is different because your body is changing hormonally, emotionally, and metabolically all at once.

Here’s what’s happening behind the scenes:

✨ Oestrogen changes can increase fat storage around the abdomen
✨ Testosterone can be high in relation to Oestrogen and Progesterone causing insulin resistance, increased appetite and weight gain especially around the middle.
✨ Lower progesterone can impact sleep, stress resilience, and cravings
✨ Rising cortisol from chronic stress can make the body hold onto weight
✨ Loss of muscle mass slows metabolism over time
✨ Blood sugar imbalance can increase hunger and energy crashes
✨ Years of dieting can leave the body stressed and depleted
✨ An under active Thyroid becomes common at this age leading to weight gain

There are many factors that can contribute, this is why your normal approach may not be working anymore and more workouts and extreme dieting will only make things worse 😩

I finally tried paddle boarding yesterday after wanting to do it for SO long 😃

Safe to say it was harder than I thought it would be especially when I drifted further into the middle of the lake and suddenly realised the wind was against me and I was actually quite far from land! 😆🫣

I turn 55 this year and I’ve decided this next chapter is about trying lots of new things, pushing myself out of my comfort zone more, meeting new people, creating more new opportunities personally and professionally 🙌

I really believe that when we start expanding our lives, new opportunities, people and experiences naturally begin to flow towards us.

I’m a huge believer in the Law of Attraction, I’ve seen it work in my own life time and time again. There is something incredibly powerful about getting clear on what you want, believing it’s possible, and then one day realising you’re living the very thing you once dreamed about ❤️

Get busy manifesting, it’s actually quite fun especially when you start to notice it’s working! Always remember where focus goes energy flows and that you have the capability to create your desired future ✨

One of the hardest parts of perimenopause isn’t just the physical symptoms, It’s the way it slowly changes how a woman feels about herself. The hormonal fluctuations happening during this phase can affect mood, resilience, sleep, energy, memory, motivation and self esteem

Many women who once felt capable, confident and emotionally stable suddenly find themselves:

👉 Overthinking everything
👉 Feeling anxious in situations they used to handle easily
👉 Snapping at loved ones then feeling guilty
👉 Struggling with brain fog and self doubt
👉 Losing confidence in their body as weight changes
👉 Feeling emotionally overwhelmed by everyday life

My client Hannah has completely thrown herself into transforming her health and wellbeing, I am so proud of the progress she is making already ❤️

Like so many women in their 30s, Hannah began noticing symptoms that made her realise something needed to change. Low energy, feeling out of balance, and recognising that her body was asking for more support. Instead of ignoring the signs, she chose to take action.

The difference in her meals already speaks for itself. Her diet is now full of nutrient dense, nourishing foods that are giving every cell in her body the fuel it needs to thrive. When we nourish the body properly, we support our hormones, energy levels, mood, digestion, immune system and long term health, hugely reducing the risk of future health conditions as we age.

What I love most is that we didn’t make drastic, overwhelming changes overnight. We started simple. Small, manageable steps that helped Hannah build confidence and create sustainable habits she can actually maintain long term.

Now she’s making healthier choices naturally, becoming more creative in the kitchen and realising that healthy eating does not need to be complicated, restrictive or time consuming.

A simple 3-4 egg omelette which Hannah packed with colourful vegetables including Mushrooms, Spinach, Red Peppers and Onions alongside fresh green leaves. It may look basic, but it is deeply nourishing. Real health often comes back to simplicity.

This is exactly why I do what I do. Helping women reconnect with their health in a realistic, empowering and sustainable way. ✨

One minute you feel fine…
The next you’re overwhelmed, irritated, anxious, flat, emotional, disconnected or completely exhausted by life.
