Oaks Hospital is one of Essex's leading private hospitals with an excellent reputation for delivering high quality private hospital treatments and services. Located on the outskirts of Colchester, the hospital opened on this site in 1994 and currently has 57 bedrooms including three twin-bedded rooms all with en-suite facilities to ensure complete privacy throughout your stay. Staff are friendly and professional and respect individual patient needs at all times. Oaks Hospital has a tradition of working closely with Consultants and patients to ensure the best quality healthcare is consistently being delivered. All Consultants undergo rigorous vetting procedures, ensuring only those who are qualified and experienced are granted practising privileges which are reviewed on a regular basis. 🎉 Happy Retirement, Pam! 🎉

Last Friday, we said a fond farewell to Pam as she retired after an incredible 29 years of dedicated service at Oaks Hospital.

Throughout her career, Pam's hard work, commitment, and unwavering dedication have made a lasting impact across the hospital. As an amazing and much-valued member of , she has contributed so much to our success and helped shape the positive and supportive culture we are proud of today.

Pam's contribution has been truly appreciated by colleagues across the organisation, and her presence will be greatly missed, both professionally and personally. She leaves behind a remarkable legacy and many wonderful memories.

We would like to thank Pam for everything she has achieved over the years and wish her a long, happy, and well-deserved retirement filled with new adventures, special moments, and plenty of time to enjoy the things she loves.

💜 Thank you to everyone who joined us for our Menopause Awareness Event at Oaks Hospital.

We were delighted to welcome members of our local community to this complimentary evening with our Consultant Gynaecologist, Mr Alfhaily, who shared valuable insights into the signs and symptoms of perimenopause and menopause, as well as the treatment options and support available.

The evening also included a dedicated Q&A session, providing an opportunity for attendees to ask questions, share concerns and have open, supportive conversations about menopause.

📸 National Vegetarian Week 2026 | Team Oaks 💚🌱

To celebrate National Vegetarian Week 2026, Oaks Hospital offered our team a special £1 meal deal, featuring a fantastic selection of delicious vegetarian dishes.

Not only did colleagues enjoy some healthy and environmentally friendly food options, but every £1 meal purchased helped support a great cause, with all proceeds donated to Robin Cancer Trust.

We are delighted to share that, thanks to the generosity of our team, an amazing £205 was raised for this wonderful and important local charity.

A huge thank you to everyone who took part and helped make the day such a success. Together, we are making a difference in our community while promoting healthier and more sustainable choices. 💚

☕🧁 Oaks Hospital Supports Macmillan Coffee Morning 💚

Yesterday, the team at Oaks Hospital came together to support the Macmillan Cancer Support Coffee Morning with a fantastic bake sale filled with homemade cakes, sweet treats, and plenty of coffee!
It was wonderful to see colleagues across the hospital getting involved, enjoying some delicious bakes, and raising money for a great cause. Every donation helps Macmillan continue to provide vital support to people living with cancer and their families.
