What a fantastic afternoon of music and memories! We were delighted to welcome the lovely Roger, who had everyone singing, dancing, clapping, and waving along to some timeless classics.

From The Beatles to Elvis, the room was filled with smiles, laughter, and wonderful music that had everyone joining in.

Music has such a magical way of bringing people together, sparking treasured memories, and lifting spirits. Seeing the Residents singing along and thoroughly enjoying themselves is what it’s all about. ❤️

Thank you, Roger, for another brilliant afternoon—we can’t wait to do it all again! 🎤🎶

Today, to celebrate International Day of Friendship, here at Heatherview, we’d like to share something very special. 💛

Earlier this week, we held a reminiscence session with some of the wonderful residents, asking them one simple question:

“What does friendship mean to you?”

Using their own heartfelt words, we came together to create a beautiful friendship poem, celebrating the special bonds and lasting friendships they have made since moving to Heatherview.

Here are just a few of the wonderful friendships that have blossomed, along with their very own friendship poem.

🌽🥒 Harvesting Our Homegrown Vegetables! 🥒🌽

Today, some of the Residents joined our wonderful Cenk from the Housekeeping Team to harvest the vegetables we’ve been growing together in our garden.

We had so much fun planting them a few months ago, and it’s been a joy watching them grow. Now comes the best part – harvesting them ready to enjoy!

Growing our own produce is a fantastic way to encourage healthy eating, enjoy fresh, nutritious food, and spend quality time outdoors together.

A huge thank you to Cenk for all of your hard work and dedication to keeping our garden thriving. The Residents truly appreciate everything you do and thoroughly enjoyed helping with today’s harvest. 💚

Another fabulous afternoon filled with fun, laughter, and wonderful memories as we welcomed the lovely Steve back once again! 🎵✨

There was plenty of singing 🎶, dancing 🕺💃🏻, and even a bit of hand jiving… and that was just the staff! 😂

The residents thoroughly enjoyed the lively atmosphere, with smiles, laughter, and music filling the room from start to finish.

Music is such an important part of life. It brings back precious memories, lifts our spirits, and brings people together. Here at Heatherview, we do our very best to make every day a little brighter for all the residents.

🍦 In celebration of National Ice Cream Day, we did it in style here at Heatherview! 🍦

Our fabulous host, Maxine, truly brought the magic by dressing in a classic 1950s ice cream parlour outfit and creating her very own ice cream trolley—complete with cheerful music!

As we visited each resident, many could hear the familiar tunes before we even arrived, building excitement and bringing smiles to their faces. It was such a joy to see everyone’s reactions—they absolutely loved it!

Some residents happily placed their ice cream orders from the trolley, while others simply delighted in the wonderful surprise of having the trolley arrive at their room. It created so many special moments, filled with smiles, laughter, and happy memories.

What a fantastic way to celebrate National Ice Cream Day, and a wonderful treat for everyone involved! 🍨❤️

💪 Fitness Friday! 💪

This morning we were visited by the wonderful Simon, who certainly put us through our paces with his fantastic armchair exercise session!

Everyone worked incredibly hard and gave it their all. Staying active is so important, helping to improve mobility, build core strength, strengthen muscles and joints, increase flexibility and improve balance—all of which can help reduce the risk of falls while boosting confidence and independence.

A huge thank you to Simon for everything you do to help us stay healthy, active and well. We always look forward to your visits! 😊👏

Another fabulous, fun-filled afternoon with Keith here at Heatherview! 🎶❤️

The room was filled with music, singing, laughter, and plenty of dancing, creating such a wonderful atmosphere.

The residents had an amazing time, and it was lovely to see so many smiles and happy faces. Music really is a wonderful thing—it has the power to bring people together, evoke precious memories, and lift our spirits.

A huge thank you to Keith for another fantastic afternoon. We can’t wait to do it all again! ❤️
