Singing in the sunshine ☀️😊

What a beautiful afternoon for a visit from the brilliant Steve! 🎶
We sang, danced, clapped, and genuinely had such a wonderful time together!!

Music really does bring people together and lift our spirits 😊

It’s always so lovely watching the residents sing along to songs they remember from their younger days — seeing the smiles on their faces and hearing everyone join in made the afternoon extra special ❤️

With the heatwave continuing today, our lovely Host Max made sure all of the residents stayed cool, comfortable, and well hydrated ☀️😊

She spent time going round to everyone offering delicious cold ice lollies, which went down an absolute treat! 🍦❄️

The residents were very grateful for the thoughtful gesture and really enjoyed the refreshing treats throughout the day ☺️💛

What a wonderful morning we’ve had with a trip to the seaside! 🌊☀️ It was a Residents wish to go out and get an ice cream 🍦- So we thought let’s go the extra mile and have it by the Seaside! 🌊 She was SO happy 😀

We drove to the beautiful Seaford where the scenery was absolutely stunning. On the journey we played some fantastic 50’s music on the minibus, singing our hearts out all the way there & back — everyone loved every minute of it! 🎶💃🕺

Once we arrived, we parked along the promenade and all enjoyed a delicious ice cream 🍦 while taking in the fresh sea air and glorious sunshine.

It was so lovely to get out and about together, enjoying the seaside and making special memories. The residents really appreciated the trip and had such a wonderful time 🥰

In celebration of World Meditation Day, we here at Heatherview spent the day in our Namaste Room enjoying meditation and relaxation sessions complete with face masks, eye masks, and refreshing drinks 🧘‍♀️✨

This was something completely new for us, but the residents absolutely loved the experience and have already said they would love to do it again! Many said they didn’t expect it to be as relaxing and enjoyable as it was 😊

A wonderful day of calm, self-care, and relaxation for everyone involved

What a lovely afternoon we’ve had today 😊
We were visited by the Uckfield Singers, who treated us to a wonderful selection of songs and musical instruments. It was truly heartwarming hearing our Residents singing along and joining in with such enthusiasm! 🎶

We do love a good old sing along here at Heatherview, and today was no exception. The atmosphere was full of smiles, music, and happiness all around 😊

A huge thank you to the Uckfield Singers for spending the afternoon with us — we thoroughly enjoyed it! 💛

We had the pleasure of the Beaver group visiting us yesterday afternoon for some fun!
The residents really do enjoy the company of the younger generation and their wonderful enthusiasm. One Resident was a girl guide and really enjoyed reminiscing with the Children about her experiences 🥰

We enjoyed finger painting together and showing off our creative skills! 🎨
Then we headed out into the garden to get green-fingered, potting plants and flowers together 🌱🌸

Everyone had a fabulous time enjoying the fresh air and sunshine ☀️
A lovely afternoon full of smiles, laughter, creativity, and friendship between generations 😊

A wonderful morning was had here at Heather view with Dementia Singing Experience, Sussex The theme was theatre darling! 🎭
There was lots of singing 🎵 🎶 dancing, laughing 😆 and dressing up! The Residents had such a fabulous time!

We made a lovely start on our sensory garden this morning by planting a variety of herbs for everyone to enjoy. The residents had a wonderful time getting involved, especially smelling all the beautiful aromas and learning about the different herbs as we planted them together. 🌿😊

It was such a relaxing and enjoyable morning spent out in the garden, and this is only the beginning!

Next on our sensory garden project list — making wind chimes and putting up some pretty lights to make the space even more calming and magical for everyone to enjoy ✨

In honour of the imminent VE Day celebrations, we here at Heatherview were delighted to host a wonderful Veterans Lunch and welcomed our sister homes — Smyth Lodge care home, Weald Heights Care Home, Bowes House Care Home and Montfort Manor. 🥰
We also had the great pleasure of meeting and welcoming some of the incredible Chelsea Pensioners. We spent the afternoon singing songs together, chatting, sharing memories and enjoying such a warm and memorable time together.
It was truly a special occasion filled with laughter, companionship and celebration as we honoured those who have served our country. 🇬🇧❤️
