Our residents were off to Oxfam this morning for some voluntary work… although somehow the “work” quickly turned into tea, shopping, biscuits and a good old blether! ☕️😂 We’re not sure how much work was actually done, but they certainly enjoyed themselves!

This afternoon, it was time to celebrate Ann’s 81st birthday with a lovely afternoon tea. 🎂🥳 A big thank you to her brother Iain for the delicious cakes from Black of Dunoon Bakers Ltd they went down a treat! 🍰❤️

🎨 Mind and Draw Our First Residents’ Art Class 🎨

What a fantastic first art session with Mind and Draw! Our residents really enjoyed getting creative, trying something new and spending time together. It was lovely to see so many smiles, conversations and moments of confidence throughout the session, and wonderful to see the positive difference the activity made to some of our residents.

Creative activities like art can be so beneficial for wellbeing, self-expression, confidence, concentration and social connection. For some, it provided a chance to relax and focus, while for others it offered a sense of achievement and an opportunity to connect with others. A huge thank you to Mind and Draw for such a lovely first session — we’re excited for all the creativity and enjoyment to come over the next few months! 🎨❤️

Please join us as we celebrate our fantastic recent Care Inspection grades and recognise the hard work, dedication, and commitment of our amazing team.

We’ll also be holding the Closing Ceremony for our Argyll and Bute Care Home World Cup Games, where we’ll celebrate and present awards to our deserving winners.

Please join us in bidding Becca a fond farewell as she embarks on an exciting new chapter. Since joining us in October 2011 as our Senior Care Assistant, Becca has been an invaluable member of the team. For almost 15 years, she has shown exceptional compassion, kindness, dedication, and professionalism, providing outstanding care and support to our residents while being a trusted colleague and friend to so many. Her warm smile, caring nature, and willingness to go above and beyond have touched countless lives and made a lasting impact on everyone who has had the pleasure of knowing and working with her.

Although we are sad to see Becca move on to new pastures, we are incredibly grateful for everything she has contributed over the years. She leaves with our heartfelt thanks, admiration, and best wishes for the future. We hope this next chapter brings her every happiness, success, and opportunity she deserves. Becca, you will be greatly missed, but never forgotten. Good luck, and thank you for everything.
