Well done to this group of delegates who have just completed 'Casing Design' training at RelyOn Aberdeen 👏

Designed for Well Engineers and Well Planners and focusing on the principles of casing design, this course takes place over five days and is designed to bring onshore teams to a consistent level of competency while encouraging discussion, collaboration, and teamwork around subjects directly relevant to their operations.

Training was delivered by our highly experienced Engineering Instructor, Marius Paraschiv.

A great opportunity for delegates to strengthen their technical knowledge, share experiences and build confidence in applying casing design principles in their day-to-day roles.

A busy operational week at our dedicated training marina in Glasgow, with multiple survival craft and rescue boat programmes running concurrently.

Current courses include:
⚓ STCW Proficiency in Survival Craft and Rescue Boats (PSCRB)
⚓ OPITO Offshore Lifeboat Coxswain Initial (Twin Fall)

Training this week involves three craft operating simultaneously:
• 2 × Survival Craft
• 1 × Rescue Boat

The practical element of these programmes provides delegates with realistic, hands-on experience in launching, manoeuvring, recovery procedures, boat handling, coxswain responsibilities and emergency response techniques, ensuring competence in line with STCW and OPITO requirements.

Later this week, we will also be delivering:
✔️ STCW Updated PSCRB
✔️ Updated Fast Rescue Boat (FRB)

These refresher programmes are delivered every week from our dedicated marina, supporting ongoing competence and regulatory compliance for seafarers and offshore personnel.

It's another full week of practical, competency-based training, made possible by our instructors, support team and purpose-built marine training facilities.

Thanks to this bunch for coming out to visit our fire ground in Aberdeen recently🔥!!

Following our recent acquisition of The Fire Training Group, we're reintroducing customers to the facility and letting them get hands-on with our fire fighting and confined space training environment.

This 3-acre fire ground sits adjacent to Aberdeen Airport and boasts a range of specialist equipment, including:
🔸Hydrocarbon and gas pressure-fed fire systems
🔸Running fuel and spill fire modules
🔸Fire screens, pressure vessels, cascade and manifold fire simulators
🔸Helidecks with helicopter simulators, incorporating various pressure-fed and carbonaceous fire scenarios
🔸Multi-level fire training rigs, built to emulate offshore & maritime environments
🔸Smoke chamber training facilities
🔸Confined space training units

Helicopter Underwater Escape Training (HUET) can be a very daunting experience, whether you're a new start to the industry or a seasoned professional. However, for everyone working in the offshore oil and gas sector, it's an essential part of the mandatory safety training and must be completed every 4 years.

It's the job of our instructors to support all trainees through this part of the course, and anyone who trains with RelyOn, whether that's at Glasgow, Teesside or Aberdeen, can be assured they'll receive the same supportive training experience.
