Its hay fever season again!

I don’t know about you but we’re tired of our itchy red eyes. That’s why we offer both Optase heat masks (which double up as cooling masks!) to soothe your allergy inflamed eyes.

In addition, Hycosan dual contains ectoin alongside sodium hyaluronate. Ectoin acts as a barrier to prevent the allergens reaching the reactive parts of your eye whilst the sodium hyaluronate works to flush out any allergens already there and lubricates to keep the eye feeling comfortable.

A reminder to all our contact lens wearers ♻️
Please bring your used contact lenses, blister packs, and outer packaging into the practice for recycling next time you visit.

These items can’t usually be recycled through normal household collections, but we can make sure they’re disposed of properly through specialist recycling schemes.

Thank you for helping us reduce waste and make eye care a little more sustainable.

If you've been in the practice recently, you'll probably have met our wonderful (newish) optical assistant, Julia. Here she is in her new Essilor GENS transition lenses which she loves!

Originally from Canada, Julia brings a wealth of experience to the role. After relocating to Scotland to pursue a master's degree in literature, she decided to continue working in the optical field. Passionate about eyewear and optical care, she helps provide top-notch service to our patients.

As the first point of contact for many of our patients, Julia thrives on creating a welcoming and comfortable environment for everyone who walks through our door. She enjoys building relationships with patients and ensuring their eye care needs are met with the utmost care and professionalism.

When it comes to eyewear, Julia’s favourite brand is Calvin Klein and she loves helping others find great eyewear as she appreciates it can be a challenge!

When Julia isn’t helping patients, you can find her reading books, writing, or playing guitar and piano. An all-around creative, Julia brings a fresh perspective and energy to the team. She loves the local area, wandering around the Botanics, as well as walking around the streets admiring the architecture, as well as some beautiful private gardens along the way.
