Out and about- with ice- cream 💖
We are lucky to be able to enjoy walks round Inverleith Park, where Ruth loves to feed the birds and admire the heron.
And all good walks include refreshments- whether that's ice- cream in Stockbridge or a coffee at the Botanics. It's been a lovely summer !

Don't be a stranger Joanne Primrose !
We gathered this afternoon to send good wishes to our Deputy Manager Jo as she embarks on a new adventure.
She has been with Braeburn for 3 1/2 years and as well as support for all - she helped to create the audit systems which reassure us that our care is good.
She is sad to go but looking forward to a job nearer home with less of a commute.

Wednesday is music day at Braeburn Home Edinburgh .
Tatiana has been leading us in music mornings for a few months now with great success.
She is a talented & gentle musician who leads the group with skill and empathy.
Rosemary would say the group was the highlight of her week and it's lovely to hear music, and Alex's glorious singing, ringing through the building.

Making progress. Thank you to Blackhall - All Trades for working late on our beautiful garden room. We are all looking forward to enjoying this lovely space. 💐🏡

We are grateful to our team of ministers led by Aileen & Father Joe, who offer regular opportunities to worship here at Braeburn.
Our residents can obviously choose whether to attend the service, but many feel it's an important part of the week, offering a peaceful space to gather together and reflect amid a busy home. And Father Joe leads the hymns with a beautiful voice.

More pictures of a lovely day at the beach.
We hired the beach wheelchairs at Portobello which were good fun and the team were really helpful. Would recommend.
Graham said the day was fantastic and we would agree.
Where shall we go for our next adventure?

Morning! A two- part story of our trip to the beach in glorious sunshine.
We borrowed a bus from HCL and sang on the way to Portobello where we had a picnic and of course we had to have ice- cream...
Alex loved walking along the prom with Sebastian and Sylvia thanked Ana for her organization. We do too! Pictures of the beach buggies tomorrow .

Garden update💐 Sharing a few photos to confirm that our lovely redesign project- delivered by Chris & Blackhall - All Trades is nearing completion- hurrah!
The weather caused delays initially and we are now waiting for parts but inside has been plastered and painted and electricity is going in soon. The interior is vast and will truly enhance our living space at Braeburn Home Edinburgh .
Will share the finished project as soon as we can. Thank you.

Happy residents- happy home. 💖
Ana knows that Pat & Ruth both enjoy watching films and also enjoy each others company so she offered to organise a trip to the pictures for them both. A great success !📽 The only thing she would change next time is perhaps a smaller tub of popcorn 🤣 Enjoy.
