Breastfeeding Home Visits.

Is breastfeeding your newborn baby feeling painful? Have you been shown how to breastfeed your baby in hospital but you are home now and your baby is fussing at the breast or you are worried your baby isn’t getting enough milk.

I live in Winchmore Hill and cover all local areas to help guide and support mothers to settle confidently into breastfeeding their new baby.

A 2025 study published in AJOG adds powerful, up-to-date data showing associations between doula care and improved maternal and newborn outcomes.

Key Maternal Outcomes:

More vaginal births after cesarean (VBAC): For every 100 patients who received doula care, there were 15 to 34 additional VBACs compared with those without doula care.

Higher postpartum follow-up attendance: 5 to 6 more per 100 received postpartum office visits.

Key Neonatal / Infant Outcomes

Increased exclusive breastfeeding rates: Babies whose families had doula support were more likely to breastfeed exclusively.

Fewer preterm births (and early preterm births): Doula-supported births showed a reduction in preterm birth rates.

In short, the study links doula care with improvements in birth outcomes — across birth mode (more VBACs), infant health (less prematurity), and early infant care (breastfeeding, postpartum follow-up).

A Mother Space is a weekly gathering circle for mothers with babies from newborn up to one year hosted by local perinatal practitioners Claire @ Ro

Each week at A Mother Space we focus on a topic relevant to motherhood and this will be gently guided by your facilitator.
🗣️ An opportunity to talk, listen and share within the non-judgemental and friendly group.
✨We will enjoy tea and homemade cake, and honour this chapter of your journey.
👶We’ll even hold your baby (if you want us to!) and give you a chance to take a breath and chat to new people around you.

A Mother’s Space will be at Rainbow Hill House Nursery in *Bounds Green!✨

Background: A two year established regular gathering led by two perinatal specialists in Winchmore Hill. New location in Bounds Green.

What to expect: Every two weeks on Friday afternoons, we’ll be bringing our much-loved mother and baby gatherings to Rainbow Hill — offering a nurturing space for mums to connect, share honestly, and feel less alone in early motherhood.

Baby Group? Your baby is welcome of course, but this space is for you. We are a group for mothers.

When we haven’t breastfed before sometimes we need to take some time with someone physically sat with us, explaining, guiding and offering helpful tips which will make the start of Breastfeeding your baby feel more comfortable and be more enjoyable.

🤱🏾Last week we had our first breastfeeding session in the comfort of my home in N21.

🤱🏼I was joined by two second time mums, who received 1:1 support and then relaxed in cosy surroundings to focus on their feeding and find solutions to their concerns.

✨They remarked that it felt like a spa day!
