Does your ankle keep giving way?

If youโ€™ve sprained your ankle before, it may have recovered enough for the pain to settle, but not enough to restore its strength, stability and control. Thatโ€™s why recurring ankle sprains are so common.

A musculoskeletal assessment with Clinical Director Ed looks beyond the injury itself to understand why your ankle keeps giving way. From there, a personalised treatment plan can help improve strength, stability and confidence, so you can get back to the activities you enjoy.

Some fun facts about the toenails you may not have heard beforeโ€ฆ

Your toenails are constantly growing, protecting and renewing themselves, even if it doesnโ€™t feel like it.

16/07/2026

Thickened or damaged toenails usually wonโ€™t cause harm, but wearing the appropriate footwear and taking care of them is really important.

If your toenails become thick or discoloured, itโ€™s worth keeping an eye on them, and seeing a podiatrist if you have any concerns.

09/07/2026

There are lots of reasons why toenails can change, so itโ€™s always worth getting them checked rather than leaving them to see if they improve on their own.

Senior Podiatrist Sara can assess your toenails, explain whatโ€™s causing the changes and recommend the most appropriate treatment to help get them looking and feeling healthier again.

Padel has quickly become everyoneโ€™s new favourite sport, and itโ€™s easy to see why. Itโ€™s fun, social and a brilliant way to stay active.

As more people take to the court, weโ€™re also seeing more cases of recurring heel pain, Achilles pain and ankle injuries. While symptoms often settle with rest, they can return as soon as you start playing again if the underlying cause hasnโ€™t been addressed.

A musculoskeletal assessment with Clinical Director Ed looks beyond where it hurts, assessing your movement, foot mechanics, strength and stability to understand whatโ€™s driving your symptoms and create a personalised treatment plan.

Letโ€™s get you back to doing what you love. ๐ŸŽพ

Weโ€™re marking a special milestone this week. Two years ago, Samantha joined Epsom Footcare as our Patient Care Manager, and through her dedication, leadership and commitment to both patients and the team, she has since been promoted to Practice Manager.

Sam is the person who makes sure everything runs smoothly, that patients feel genuinely looked after from the very first call, and that the rest of the team can do their best work every day.

Thank you Samantha ๐Ÿ’™
