A Sunday with a difference today.

River cruise along the Orwell and setting off from Ipswich waterfront on the Orwell Lady.

Joined by Sir Terry Waite and Phil Bigley OBE.

The work they are involved with for Hostage International is not only fascinating but also equally sad and upsetting at the same time. I remember when Phil's brother Ken was taken hostage whilst working in Iraq after the war.

Hard to believe that was 2004 and the devastating news that he had been murdered along with two American contractors.

There are some truly fascinating and incredible people in this world and to hear their stories is a real honour. ❤️

Our little Hope had her first haircut a couple of days ago and was no trouble at all.

For those new followers of ours, Hope came to us just over 7 weeks ago.

She's settled in at home amazingly and far better than we ever thought.

Rescued from Romania where she had been abandoned on the street to fend for herself. She'd been hit by a car, had an eye infection, two tumours and her paws had been burnt too.

Onwards and upwards. ❤️

Non attended cremation.

Like all funeral directors we are able to offer this service for those wishing to have this option.

We feel that how we differ and separate ourselves from others is in the personalisation we bring to each loved one we have in our care.

On this occasion, we were asked to travel a certain route where invited family and friends had gathered close to the seafront and paid their respects as we drove past.

This moment here is captured as we had driven by the group paying tribute and we headed along part of the seafront, then onto the crematorium. ❤️

The sons of a police officer killed in a head-on crash near Middlesbrough led out Manchester United during a home match on Sunday.

PC Matthew Blades, described by the club as a "proud Red", was killed in a collision with a vehicle going the wrong way down the A66 last weekend.

The club described PC Matthew Blades as a "proud Red" and invited his wife and sons to the match against Ipswich on Sunday.
