A Saturday morning stroll through the oldest part of Ipswich cemetery.

Glorious sunshine.

Why the walk in the cemetery?

The past week has been another full on schedule for us all. With an early dentist appointment this morning I felt I needed to get much needed head space clarity.

More of this is needed and the need for self care has never been more needed than it is now. ❤️

Even though grieving is one of the most natural and normal experiences in life, there is a lot of judgement when it comes to loss and grief.

The world often judges not only how people grieve but how long they are grieving and what they are grieving for. Far too many people try to dictate what the grief experience "should" look like even though many of them have yet to experience a devastating loss themselves.

Yet sadly, the grieving then start to question everything when it comes to their own grief. Grievers tend to be very hard on themselves and self judgement only makes what is already an incredibly difficult time in life - worse.

Someone who is grieving doesn't need opinions, advice, or judgement. What they need is someone who will just listen. Someone who will keep showing up with love, support and validation. Someone who tries to understand, even when they don't.

The truth is, it's nearly impossible to know exactly how someone is truly feeling and all they are going through. Everyone is different and no two losses are exactly the same.

Grief is personal and people need to have the safety and space to grieve in whatever way feels right for them. ❤️

TV presenter Judith Chalmers - best known for hosting Wish You Were Here...? - has passed away, her family has said.

Judith, who was 90, sadly passed on Thursday evening. Her family said she had become seriously ill in recent weeks.

Her family confirmed she died peacefully at home, surrounded by her family, after living with Alzheimer's in her final years.
