Did you know that young people aged 11-15 in Angus can access peer mental health support through specialised services provided by Penumbra and Hillcrest Futures? These services offer confidential spaces and coping strategies with support from workers with lived experience.

Talk to the young person’s school, GP receptionist or contact Penumbra or Hillcrest directly:

Could you help shape the future of health and social care in Angus?

Angus Integration Joint Board is looking for people with lived experience to join its Board.

We're currently recruiting for two voluntary roles:

🔹 Service User Representative – for someone with experience of using community health and/or adult social care services.

🔹 Deputy Carer Representative – for someone with current or previous experience as an unpaid carer.

As a Lived Experience Representative, you'll help ensure the voices of people who use services and unpaid carers are heard in decisions about health and social care across Angus.

No previous board or committee experience is needed, full training and support will be provided, and reasonable expenses will be reimbursed.

Closing date: 5th October 2026.

Angus Mental Health and Wellbeing Network (AMHAWN) is proud to be supporting ***dePreventionDay on Thursday 10th September to promote the campaign to ‘Start the Conversation’. The aim of this campaign is to have open and honest discussions about su***de and suicidal behaviour.

Throughout next week will be raising awareness and confidence about how to talk about su***de, how to dispel the myths about su***de, and what support is available nationally and in Angus.

If you use a home blood pressure monitor, make sure it's providing accurate readings by bringing it along to one of our free drop-in calibration sessions.

Monifieth Library – Thursday 3rd September, 10am–4pm
Kirriemuir Library - Wednesday 23rd September, 2pm-8pm
Carnoustie Library - Thursday 24th September, 10am-4pm.
