One thing I love about learning different holistic therapies is how much you can actually use what you've learnt on yourself! πŸ’œβœ¨οΈ

From Indian head massage and marma points to full body massage, there's so many little things you pick up along the way.

Now, if you know me personally, you'll know I can fart and burp like an absolute trooper! πŸ˜‚ And I'm sure anyone who knows me will happily confirm that! So for me to actually have trapped wind is quite something, because normally I've got absolutely no problem getting rid of it! 🀣

Well, this morning I've had the worst trapped wind and belly ache. Proper uncomfortable!

Then I remembered the abdominal massage techniques I'd learnt during my full body massage training. So I thought I'd give them a go on myself.

And well... within a couple of minutes, let's just say everything was moving again! πŸ’¨πŸ€£ The relief was unreal!

It's little things like this that make me appreciate everything I'm learning. Not just for helping others, but for my own wellbeing too.

Who knew my massage training would come in handy for helping me have a massive fart on a Wednesday morning! πŸ˜‚πŸ’œβœ¨οΈ

πŸŒ• Anyone else absolutely CRASHING OUT with this full moon energy?! πŸ˜‚

Honestly, what the hell is going on?!

A couple of weeks ago I was bouncing out of bed at 5am, full of beans, getting on with my day before half the world had even woken up.

This week? I've had a lie-in and I STILL don't want to move. πŸ˜‚

Granted, I've spent a good few days in absolute agony with my back, so I know my body's still recovering from that. But I've noticed a bit of a pattern with myself around the full moon.

Some people seem to get absolutely wired with the energy. Me? It knocks me for six. 😴

And this morning I've been sat crying my bloody eyes out over little video clips on Facebook. Like, seriously?! Get a grip, woman! πŸ˜‚πŸ˜

I'm not saying the moon's responsible for all my dramas, but I do find it interesting how I seem to feel around certain phases.

So come on, where's everyone at this week?

Are you feeling wired, emotional, exhausted, or are you just cracking on wondering what the rest of us are going on about? πŸ˜‚πŸŒ•πŸ’œ

πŸŒ§οΈπŸ’œ A little thought on this stormy Friday...

Sitting here listening to the wind howling, the rain coming down and the trees being blown about, and it got me thinking...

Sometimes life can feel a little bit like the weather outside, can't it?

Some days we're calm, everything feels manageable and we can take whatever comes our way.

Other days, it feels like there's a whole bloody storm going on inside us. πŸŒͺ️

Our thoughts are racing, our emotions are all over the place, the smallest things can feel overwhelming, and sometimes we don't even know why we're feeling the way we are.

And sometimes, that storm comes out in the way we react to things. We might be more irritable, more sensitive, quicker to tears or just feel like we want to shut the whole world out.

But here's something worth remembering...

We don't have to fight every emotion we experience.

Sometimes we need to recognise what's happening within us, give ourselves a little bit of space and ask what it is we actually need in that moment.

Maybe it's rest. Maybe it's a good cry. Maybe it's talking to someone, or maybe it's simply having a bit of peace and quiet without feeling guilty about it.

We can't always control the storms around us, and we can't always stop the ones happening within us either.

But we can learn to recognise when we're struggling and treat ourselves with a little more understanding. πŸ’œ

So, on this very wild and windy Friday, I'm curious...

What's your internal weather like today? β˜€οΈπŸŒ€οΈπŸŒ§οΈπŸŒͺ️

Are you feeling calm and settled, a little cloudy, or is there a bit of a storm brewing?

No right or wrong answers. Just a little Friday check-in. πŸ’œβœ¨

✨ A little spontaneous card pull for this Thursday evening πŸ’œ

No particular reason, just felt like getting the cards out and seeing what came up! πŸ₯°

I'll pop a clearer picture of the card and its guidebook meaning in the comments.

I'd love to hear what you take from it too. Remember, we all see and interpret things differently, and there's no right or wrong answer. ✨

Feel free to share your thoughts, even if they're completely different to mine!

Sweet dreams, beautiful souls πŸŒ™πŸ’œ

Good morning, lovely souls πŸ’œβœ¨

Just a little post to apologise for being so quiet on here over the past few days!

We had a lovely weekend celebrating Greyson's birthday, so the whole weekend was pretty much dedicated to him, and social media took a bit of a back seat. πŸ₯°

Then Monday morning came around, and I woke up with the most horrendous pain in my back! 😩 Turns out I've pulled a muscle, and I've been in absolute agony ever since. So, apart from trying to keep myself moving as per the doctor's orders, I've not been doing much else!

Unfortunately, I've had to cancel my clients this week, which I absolutely hate doing, but sometimes we've got to listen to our own bodies too. All appointments will, of course, be rearranged. πŸ’œ

On a more positive note, my November diary is now open for bookings! ✨

If you're fancying a little time for yourself, whether that's Reiki, sound healing, a lovely relaxing massage or another treatment, just pop me a message with roughly when you're looking for. Whether it's daytime, evening or weekend appointments, I'll happily let you know what I've got available. 🌿

For now, though, I'm off to college to try and muster my way through a day of counselling theory whilst my back is screaming at me! πŸ˜‚

And if you've ever sat on the new chairs at college, you'll know they're about as comfortable as sitting on a brick! Although, apparently, the doctor reckons a firmer seat is better for my back, so who knows... today might actually turn out to be a day of absolute bliss! 🀣

Hope you're all having a lovely week so far, and thank you for bearing with me. πŸ’œβœ¨

πŸ’ Do you ever replay conversations afterwards?

You know when you've had a completely normal conversation with someone and then later your brain decides to hold a full investigation into it? πŸ˜‚
Did I say too much?

Did that sound weird?
Why did I say it like that?
Were they annoyed with me?
I should've said this instead...

And sometimes the other person has probably gone home and not given the conversation another thought.

There can be loads of reasons we do this. Maybe we're worried about being misunderstood, judged or upsetting somebody. Maybe we've learnt to be really aware of other people's moods and reactions. Or maybe we're just someone who processes things afterwards and likes to make sense of what happened.

A little reflection can be useful β€” especially if there's something we genuinely want to learn from or handle differently next time.

But there's a difference between reflecting and replaying.

Reflection might sound like:
β€œI don't think I handled that how I wanted to. What can I take from it?”

Replaying is more like going over the same conversation for the 47th time when there's absolutely nothing you can do with it. πŸ˜‚
Sometimes we have to remind ourselves that we don't need to perfectly explain ourselves in every conversation. We can't control how everybody interprets us. And we don't need to analyse every facial expression, pause or change in someone's tone.

Sometimes a conversation can just be... a conversation.

Are you someone who replays conversations afterwards, or can you just say what you've got to say and move on with your day? πŸ˜‚πŸ’œ

A little bit of mum and son time in the treatment room tonight πŸ’œβœ¨

Greyson has always been quite anxious when it comes to new people and unfamiliar situations, and we noticed it a lot with his swimming lessons. Every time he moved up a group and had a new teacher, he'd get himself so worked up. Sometimes it'd take us 10–15 minutes just to get him comfortable enough to sit on the edge of the pool.

He stopped his lessons a while back, but since he's been swimming with his friends at school, he's decided he wants to go back! πŸ₯°

He's got his assessment on Thursday, and he's already told me he's worried about having a new teacher. So we've decided to do a little bit of Reiki over the next few days. I'm not expecting it to magically take his worries away, but if it helps him feel a little calmer and takes the edge off, then that's good enough for me. πŸ’œ

He's always loved Reiki anyway, and I love how interested he is in it all. He's forever asking questions! He doesn't like closing his eyes during it either, so he keeps them open, which is absolutely fine. Whatever makes him feel comfortable.

He absolutely loved tonight and couldn't wait to get his hands on the sound bowls afterwards 🫣 Although he definitely doesn't play them as gently as I do! πŸ˜‚πŸ€£ He had a good go on the ocean drum and chimes too.

I just think it's lovely getting children involved in things like Reiki and sound from a young age. Giving them that little bit of time to relax, switch off and just enjoy themselves.

And it's a lovely bit of one-to-one time for us too, which I absolutely love. πŸ’œβœ¨

Does anyone else's little one struggle with new situations, even when it's something they really want to do?

12/10/2026

πŸ’ Why does the ONE bad thing always seem to stick?

You can have a genuinely lovely day. Ten things can go right, someone can give you a compliment, you can have a good laugh, get something done you've been putting off, have a lovely conversation...

Then one person says something that pi**es you off.

And guess which bit your brain decides to replay while you're lying in bed? πŸ˜‚

There's actually a name for this ... negativity bias.

Our brains naturally tend to give more attention and weight to negative experiences than positive ones. From an evolutionary point of view, noticing potential threats and remembering things that went wrong was pretty useful for keeping us safe.

The problem is, our brain doesn't only use that system for actual danger. It can latch onto the awkward conversation. The criticism. The thing that didn't go to plan. The person who didn't reply. The one mistake amongst everything you got right.
And suddenly that one thing can feel bigger than everything else that happened that day.

That's why consciously noticing what's going well can actually be useful. Not because we need to be positive all the time, and definitely not because we should ignore difficult feelings or pretend everything is wonderful when it isn't.It's simply about giving the good stuff some attention too.

So before today is over, have a little think...
What went right today that your brain might have completely skimmed over? πŸ’œβœ¨
