What a weekend at Rode Comedy Festival! 🎭✨

We had pretty much every type of weather thrown at us, but it certainly didn’t dampen our spirits, we had such a brilliant time!

A massive thank you to Rode Comedy Festival for having us, and to the lovely team at Dorothy House who we had a great time working alongside throughout the festival.

A huge thank you to everyone who bought a raffle ticket, and to Rode Comedy Festival for their generous donations. Together, an amazing £13,000 was raised, which will be split between WHY and Dorothy House. 💜

💜 𝗦𝗨𝗣𝗣𝗢𝗥𝗧𝗘𝗥 𝗦𝗣𝗢𝗧𝗟𝗜𝗚𝗛𝗧: 𝗥𝗨𝗧𝗛 💜

This September, Ruth is taking on not one, but 𝗧𝗪𝗢 incredible challenges! ⛰️

First up, a trek through the Alps, followed by climbing Mount Toubkal in Morocco, all while raising vital funds for We Hear You.

And this isn’t Ruth’s first adventure for WHY either… this will be her 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗿𝗱 fundraising challenge supporting our work! 🙌

Every challenge taken on for WHY helps us continue to be there for people affected by cancer and other life-threatening conditions when they need us most.

🎭 We're looking for 10 carnival heroes!

On Saturday 26 September, WHY will be collecting donations at Frome Carnival Charities Association Frome Carnival, and we're looking for a few more volunteers to help us make the most of this fantastic opportunity.

Could you give a couple of hours of your time to support local people affected by cancer and life-threatening conditions?

Grab a friend, dress up if you fancy it, enjoy the carnival atmosphere and help raise funds for a local charity.

🎭 Could you help We Hear You at Frome Carnival 2026?

We're delighted to have been chosen as a beneficiary of the collections taking place during this year's Frome Carnival!

To make the most of this fantastic opportunity, we're looking for 10 enthusiastic volunteers to help collect donations and process card payments during the procession on Saturday 26 September.

You'll be part of a brilliant community event while helping raise vital funds that enable We Hear You to support local children, young people and adults affected by cancer and life-threatening conditions.

🕔 From approximately 5pm (final timings TBC)

🏆 Prize for the best-dressed collector!

Could you help children and young people affected by cancer and life-threatening conditions?

We're looking for an experienced Children's Counsellor / Therapist (0.5 FTE) to join the We Hear You team.

This rewarding role combines providing therapeutic support to children and young people affected by cancer and life-threatening conditions with supporting the development of our Placement Counsellor team.

📍 0.5 FTE (18.75 hours per week)
💷 £33,000-£39,000 FTE
