I qualified as a Funeral Director in 1994 and am Managing Director of Alexander’s funeral care. Having served the local Cleethorpes/Grimsby community in funeral care for nearly 20 years, I opened my own family business, Alexander’s funeral care in February 2007. I regard it as a rare privilege to be able to help people at the most difficult time of their lives. Some people can be a little wary of funeral directors (and understandably so). I consider myself to be friendly, approachable, and quickly able to put people at ease. It is very much a family business. My son David Alexander works alongside me and is a qualified Funeral Director. My wife Vicky is a part time receptionist. I feel that as a family business we are able to offer a more personal service and I can honestly say that ‘nothing is too much trouble’

Good morning everyone, a few weeks back Zoe had decided to leave the team at Alexanders for personal reasons. We wish her well for the future.
This left a spot on the team to be filled which has been filled by Craig Rodgers who has been working for another local firm for over four years. He starts with us on the 15th June.

Hi everyone we have had an update from Grimsby Crematorium

Just to let you know that we are expecting some essential works at the crematorium to take place shortly on both our building and the cremators. Unfortunately this will require a small shutdown period as detailed below:
We will not be able to accept bookings for services in the main chapel on the following dates: Friday 4th April – Monday 14th April 2025. Normal service times available from Tuesday 15th.
We will not be able to accept bookings for services in the Treasured Memories Chapel on the following dates: Friday 4th April – Wednesday 9th April 2025. Normal service times available from Thursday 10th.
The main chapel will them be closed every Monday and Friday till reopening fully on the 20th May 2025. The Treasured Memories chapel will be available on the Monday's and Fridays for Simple services and Delivery only services.
