Back in March, we rolled out the red carpet for our annual Shining Stars Award Night and this year, we went all out. 🎭

From the showgirl entrance to the candlelit tables, the laughter, the tears, and the faces when a name was called out, it was a night none of us will forget in a hurry.

And a room full of the most deserving people we know. 👏🏼

Celebrating our Outstanding Support Award winner! 👏🏼💫

Behind every care home, there are people working quietly in the background helping everything run smoothly day after day.

This year, Kosala Ranasinghe, IT Manager at Head Office, was recognised with the Outstanding Support Award at our Shining Star Awards.

From solving problems quickly to supporting teams across the group, roles like this are a huge part of keeping our homes connected and supported behind the scenes.

Although residents and families may not always see this side of the organisation, the support provided has a direct impact on the day-to-day running of our homes and the people within them.

A fantastic achievement and very well deserved. 🩷💚

We're proud to be taking part in Care Home Open Week, a nationwide celebration of everything that makes modern care homes so special.

From Monday 15th to Sunday 21st June, we're opening the doors at all of our We Care Group and Summit Care Group homes and inviting you in. 👏🏼

Come and meet our teams, see where our residents live and thrive, and experience the warmth of our homes for yourself.

With the FIFA World Cup kicking off soon, we've got some brilliant football-themed fun planned too! 🎉⚽

The friendships between generations are always the most special 💚🩷

Residents at Broadway Nursing and Residential - Liverpool recently enjoyed a lovely visit from local school children, who spent time performing songs, chatting with residents and sharing some wonderful artwork.

The room was full of smiles from start to finish.

What do you think would happen if you were to down tools every day at 3pm?

Every day at 3pm, something special happens at Saltshouse Haven Care Home.

Of course where it's safe to do so, the whole team pauses what they're doing and spends 10 minutes one to one with a resident.

No rushing between tasks. ✔️

No paperwork. ✔️

No distractions. ✔️

Just meaningful conversation, connection and time together.

Some chats are about careers and the jobs residents loved throughout their lives.

Others are about family, hobbies, favourite memories or the world today.

Every conversation is different, but each one helps us learn a little more about the people we support.

It's amazing how much can be shared in just 10 minutes, try it.

This simple daily initiative is strengthening relationships across the home.

Sometimes the most meaningful part of the day is sitting down and having a chat. 🩷💚

A huge congratulations to our Newcomer of the Year Award winner 💫👏🏼✨

Starting a new role in care can feel overwhelming at first. New residents, new routines, new responsibilities and learning how every person likes things done.

That’s why this award is such a special one.

Chitra Jose, Health Care Assistant at Tudor Bank, was recognised at this year’s Shining Star Awards for the impact she has already made since joining the team.

Through kindness, compassion and the way she supports residents day to day, Chitra has quickly become a valued part of life at Tudor Bank.

Sometimes it’s the simplest things that mean the most and we’re all guilty of rushing to the next thing.

We’re lucky that our care teams recognise that a chat and a little time together is so important.

Our teams often offer a relaxing hand massage and a chance to slow things down and just enjoy a moment together.

A lovely reminder of the importance of time and conversation. 🩷💚

A special celebration at Barton Brook Care Home. 🎂

There was a very special celebration at Barton Brook last month, as the team and residents surprised Lorna with a 50th birthday party! 🎉

Lorna is a much-loved, long-standing member of Barton Brook and We Care Group, so it felt only right to mark the occasion properly, with plenty of smiles, surprises and everyone coming together to celebrate.

A lovely afternoon and a great way to recognise someone who means so much to the home. 🩷💚
