💐❤️ Staff and residents at Kestrel Grove came together to say a very sad farewell to our wonderful housekeeper, Irene, as she begins a new chapter after an incredible 15 years with us.

Over the years, Irene has been so much more than a housekeeper. Her kindness, dedication, warm smile, and caring nature have touched the lives of countless residents, families, and colleagues. She has played a huge part in making our home a welcoming, comfortable, and happy place for everyone.

There were plenty of hugs, smiles, memories, and a few tears as we thanked Irene for her years of hard work and commitment. She will be greatly missed by us all, but we wish her every happiness and success for the future. 🌟

Thank you, Irene, for everything you have done over the past 15 years. You will always be part of our family. ❤️

Staff Spotlight – Kinjal 🌟

We are delighted to shine the spotlight on our wonderful colleague Kinjal, who has been part of the team at Kestrel Grove Care Home for the past year and a half.

Originally from India, Kinjal moved to the UK three years ago and has brought with her a warm personality, caring nature, and positive energy that residents and staff truly appreciate every day. She is also excitedly preparing for a very special new chapter in her life, as she is currently expecting her first baby.

Kinjal describes herself as someone who enjoys simple pleasures and quality time with loved ones. Her favourite colour is pink, which she feels reflects her cheerful and caring personality. She loves fast food and especially enjoys traditional Indian sweets, while her favourite drink is a comforting cup of Indian chai tea.

Outside of work, Kinjal enjoys:
Travelling and exploring new places
Reading books
Watching comedy programmes and films
Enjoying classic Bollywood movies

Kinjal says that her favourite thing about working at Kestrel Grove is the close connection she has with the residents. Caring for them gives her a real sense of home and family, especially as she misses her grandparents back in India. She finds comfort and happiness in spending time with residents, listening to their stories, and making sure they feel supported, valued, and cared for each day.

Alongside her caring role, Kinjal is also highly educated and hardworking. She holds an MBA in Business Management, demonstrating her dedication to both personal and professional development. Her strong organisational skills, compassionate approach, and calm nature make her a valued member of the Kestrel Grove team.

🐾💙 Kestrel Grove had a very special visitor today! 💙🐾

The adorable Dash the Maltese stopped by and instantly became the star of the day! 🐶✨ With his fluffy coat, wagging tail, and gentle nature, Dash won over so many hearts among our residents and team members alike. 🥰

There were plenty of smiles, cuddles, and happy moments as Dash made his way around, bringing comfort, companionship, and lots of joy wherever he went. 🐾❤️ It’s amazing how much happiness a furry friend can bring in such a short time.

Thank you, Dash, for making our day extra special—we can’t wait to welcome you back for another visit! 🌟🐶

🤠🎶 What a fantastic afternoon we had at Kestrel Grove Residents! 🎶🤠

A huge thank you to Robbie from Reminiscence Entertainment for bringing the Wild West to us with his brilliant Country & Western show! 🌵🎸 From toe-tapping tunes and classic country favourites to plenty of singalongs, Robbie had everyone smiling, clapping, and even showing off a few dance moves! 💃🕺

There were cowboy hats, happy faces, and enough country charm to make us feel like we'd been transported straight to Nashville! 🤠⭐ Some residents were so enthusiastic we're considering applying for our own ranch licence! 🐴😂

It's always wonderful to see music bringing people together, creating memories, laughter, and lots of fun. Thank you, Robbie, for another entertaining performance that had everyone thoroughly enjoying themselves.

We can't wait to welcome you back for another hoedown soon! 🎵❤️

🌞🎶 What a fantastic fitness session we had at Kestrel Grove today with the wonderful Clare Barnes from Music and Movement! 💃🕺

Despite the hot weather, our amazing residents gave it their all and did brilliantly throughout the session 👏💪 There were plenty of smiles, laughter, movement, and energy as everyone joined in and enjoyed keeping active together 😊❤️

A huge thank you to Clare for leading such a fun and engaging session — we’re already looking forward to the next one! 🌟

Employee of the Month – Denisa 🌟

We are proud to recognise Denisa as our Employee of the Month at Kestrel Grove Care Home.

Denisa has been a valued member of the Kestrel Grove family for nearly 10 years, and throughout that time she has consistently shown kindness, dedication, and genuine compassion towards both residents and colleagues.

Her journey with us began when she first came to Kestrel Grove as part of a placement while studying for her Health and Social Care Level 5 qualification. From the very beginning, her caring nature, strong work ethic, and commitment to providing excellent care stood out to everyone around her - and we were lucky enough that she decided to stay.

Over the years, Denisa has become an incredibly important part of the team. She is always willing to support others, takes great pride in her work, and goes above and beyond to ensure residents feel comfortable, respected, and cared for. Residents enjoy her warm personality and calm approach, while her colleagues appreciate her reliability, experience, and positive attitude.

Denisa’s dedication over the past decade has helped create the welcoming and homely environment that Kestrel Grove is known for today. Her passion for care and the strong relationships she has built with residents and families truly reflect the values of our home.

🌸✨ Residents at Kestrel Grove enjoyed a beautiful and meaningful celebration of Shavuot this week! ✨🌸

Shavuot is a special Jewish holiday that celebrates the giving of the Torah and the arrival of the harvest season. Traditionally associated with flowers, greenery, and dairy foods, it is a time of joy, reflection, kindness, and community. 🌿📖💐

As part of the celebration, residents took part in a wonderful flower arranging activity, creating stunning floral displays while sharing stories, laughter, and traditions together. The home was filled with colour, creativity, and the lovely scent of fresh blooms! 🌷🌼🌺

Residents also created a list of 10 kind things they can do for others, reflecting on the values of compassion, generosity, and community spirit that are so important during Shavuot. 💖✨

Staff were delighted to join in the celebrations and support residents in marking this important occasion. It was a truly uplifting afternoon enjoyed by all.
