Sometimes stress doesn’t just make us feel different, it can make us behave differently too.

You might find yourself getting irritated more quickly, feeling less motivated, withdrawing from people, or reacting in ways that don’t quite feel like you.

Then comes the frustrating part… wondering “Why am I being like this?”

The brain changes how it operates when it’s under pressure. It becomes more focused on getting through than thriving.

So if you’ve felt a little unlike yourself lately, it might be worth asking: have I changed… or have I just been carrying a lot? 🌿

✨Starting therapy or hypnotherapy can feel like a big step. I know that because I’ve been on the other side of it too.
That’s exactly why I offer a free initial consultation. It gives you the chance to ask questions, understand a bit more about how your brain works, and see whether I’m the right fit for you.
No pressure, no obligation, and no expectation to commit. Just a conversation and a chance to take that first step.
If you’ve been thinking about reaching out, feel free to drop me a message. 💚✌️

Ever found yourself replaying a conversation hours later and wondering “Why did I say that?”or “I should have said this instead…”

You’re not losing it, and it doesn’t necessarily mean you’ve said something wrong.

The brain naturally likes certainty and closure. So when something feels important, uncomfortable, or emotionally charged, it can keep bringing it back up in an attempt to make sense of it.

The problem is, the more we go over it, the more mental space it tends to take up.
Sometimes the shift isn’t finding the perfect answer,it’s gently bringing your attention back to what’s happening right now.
Small shifts. Less noise. More space. 🌿

🫩 I’ve had a bit of mental fatigue recently and it made me think about how much energy our minds use every day.
Thinking, remembering, planning, processing… it all adds up.
If you’ve been feeling unusually tired lately, it might not be that you’re doing too little. You might just be carrying a lot mentally 💚✌️

🚿 Some of our clearest thoughts arrive when we stop trying so hard to think.
In the shower, on a walk, driving a familiar route or doing tasks in the house.
It can feel strange when a solution appears out of nowhere, but there’s actually a reason for it.

When the brain relaxes and attention softens, different networks begin communicating more freely with each other. The mind shifts out of constant “doing mode” and into a more reflective state, one linked to creativity, memory and problem solving.
It’s often why clarity appears when there’s less pressure.
The difficulty is, modern life doesn’t leave much room for that state anymore. We fill quiet moments quickly. Phones, noise, stimulation, constant input.

But the brain needs space sometimes.
Not because it’s being lazy, because it’s processing.

So if you’ve been feeling mentally stuck lately, it might not mean you need to think harder.

You may just need a little more room for your mind to breathe.

“I don’t have problems, I have puzzles.”

I heard this in a Quincy Jones documentary on Netflix and it really stuck.
Because words matter more than we think.
When your brain hears problem, it can trigger stress, overwhelm, even shutdown.
When it hears puzzle,it leans into curiosity, problem-solving, possibility.
That’s the difference between feeling stuck…
and starting to move forward.
This is what we mean by a reframe.
You’re not ignoring reality…..
you’re changing your relationship to it.

And that’s often where change begins.

✨You don’t need more willpower.
You need a different approach.
Hypnotherapy helps you change the pattern at the source.

😩 Alot of people get frustrated with how often the same thoughts come back.
It can feel like something’s wrong, or like you should be able to “control it better.
But most of the time, it’s just the brain doing what it’s designed to do.
When something feels important, unresolved, or a bit uncertain, the brain keeps bringing it back into awareness. Not to annoy you but to try and make sense of it.
The dificulty is, the more attention a thought gets, the more the brain flags it as something worth keeping.

So it repeats.

Part of the shift isn’t about forcing those thoughts away, but gently changing how you respond to them.
Noticing them without getting pulled in.
Letting them pass, rather than trying to solve them immediately.
Over time, the brain starts to get a different message — that it doesn’t need to keep raising the alarm.
And things tend to quieten down from there. ✌️💚
