The Shrubbery The Shrubbery is a beautiful and characterful Residential Home, based in Higham Ferrers. We offer short-term and long-term residential care.

The Shrubbery is an excellent Residential Care Home offering residential and dementia care for the elderly, in Higham Ferrers, Northamptonshire. We provide individual, person- centered care of the highest possible quality for all of our residents. We also provide respite care for the elderly when their careers may need a break. We have a total of 45 rooms in total which all have an ensuite toilet.

our residents enjoyed a delicious homemade strawby ghetto. Today, freshly prepared and served as a special treat. Baking activities like this can encourage social interactions. Spark Happy memories and provide a wonderful sensory experience through taste smell and presentation.

The biggest compliment, empty plates all round,! It was lovely to see everyone enjoying themselves and sharing smiles over a slice of homemade cake. A wonderful afternoon enjoyed by all.❤️

Our day was buzzing with bumble bee crafts, fun quizzes, interesting bee facts, and wordsearches — with staff even dressing up as bees to join the fun! 💛🖤

Activities like these help support creativity, memory, social interaction, and wellbeing, while giving everyone the chance to learn something new and share plenty of smiles along the way. 🍯✨

Our residents enjoyed a wonderful mix of activities including gardening, mosaic tile making, aqua painting, a visit from singer Steve O, time with a therapy dog, and a lovely trip out — from gardening to singing, every activity brings joy, creativity, confidence, companionship, and supports wellbeing for both mind and body.

Monday we were delighted to welcome a talented singer Chris to spend time with our residents, performing songs from well-loved musicals. From the very first song, there was singing, clapping, smiling and plenty of happy memories shared together. 🎶👏
Music sessions like these bring so many benefits to wellbeing — encouraging social interaction, stimulating memory, boosting mood and supporting emotional wellbeing. It was wonderful to see everyone joining in and enjoying the atmosphere together.
