MOORHOUSE, Carol. On 25th August 2026, at Huddersfield Royal Infirmary, suddenly but peacefully after a short illness.
Beloved wife of Howard, devoted mum of Kristie and Jon. Treasured grandma of Ellie and Jude and a cherished great grandma of Esme.
A celebration of her life will be held at Huddersfield Crematorium on Thursday 10th September at 10am. Family flowers only please but donations in lieu may be made to Yorkshire Cancer Research for which a box will be available.

Tomorrow is the last day to donate to Graham's fundraising for a Defibrillator at Swan Lane Equestrian Centre. He set himself a goal of riding 150km throughout August. He has compmeted 167km with the last 5 by riding uphill to the stables for the family fun day.

Graham hit 150km today! He has officially done the minimum amount he said he would do throughout August with 6 days to go. He will continue throughout the rest of the month to raise money for the Defibrillator at Swan Lane Equestrian Centre to see how far he can go.

On behalf of the family, we announce the passing of Nancy Sykes.

SYKES, Margaret NANCY, on 8th August 2026, aged 83 years, suddenly but peacefully at her home in Newsome.
Beloved wife of Kevan, treasured mum of Tracey, Kim, Shaun, Darren and Dale. Dear mother in law of Will and James. A cherished nanna, great nanna, great great nanna and best dog mum of Thomas.
A celebration of her life will be held at St Paul's Church, Armitage Bridge, on Friday 4th September at 10am followed by interment at Hey Lane Cemetery.
Family flowers only please but donations in lieu for West Yorkshire Dog Rescue for which a box will be available.
The family would appreciate it if mourners could wear a splash of purple.

EMSLEY Samantha (Sam) Peacefully but unexpectedly on 3rd August 2026 of Lepton. Cherished mum of Samuel and Rio, treasured gan-ma of Aria Jo. Beloved sister of Sharron and the late Garry. A celebration of her life will be held at Huddersfield Crematorium on Friday 28th August at 11.15am. Flowers can be sent to Deborah Ingham Funeral Service, 59/61 Highgate Lane, Lepton, before 10am on the day. No mourning clothes necessary, the family would appreciate colourful clothing.
