Night Shift Leader
🕘 Shifts: 9:15pm – 7:45am
(Full & Part time available)
📅 Working alternate weekends

Requirements:
* Minimum 6 months' experience as a Healthcare Assistant (HCA)
* NVQ level 2 in Health and Social Care
* A caring, reliable and professional approach
* Ability to lead and support the night team

🌊🍦 A Wonderful Day Beside the Sea 🍟☀️

Today, some of our residents and their families enjoyed a fantastic trip to the seaside, filled with smiles, fresh sea air, and special moments together.

We started with a traditional fish and chips lunch, followed by a leisurely stroll along the seafront, taking in the sights, sounds, and memories that a day by the coast can bring. Of course, no seaside visit would be complete without a delicious ice cream to finish the day!

These outings provide so much more than a change of scenery—they create opportunities for connection, conversation, reminiscence, and joy. It was wonderful to see residents and loved ones spending quality time together and making new memories.

A big thank you to everyone who helped make the day so special. Judging by the smiles on everyone’s faces, it was a trip to remember! 💙

What a fantastic and busy weekend at Hazelwell Lodge! 🌼😊

Our residents have been making the most of the weekend with plenty of ball games, bingo, gardening, flower arranging, and even some traditional pub games that brought back lots of happy memories. Finally finishing our weekend off with our hydration station🤩

Hazelwell has been filled with smiles, laughter, friendly competition, and wonderful conversations. It's been lovely to see everyone enjoying themselves, spending time together, and taking part in so many activities.🪏🏆

Thank you to our amazing residents and dedicated team for making every day so special. ❤️

Welcome to the two newest residents of Hazelwell Lodge, Fred and Dolly!
In honour of ‘Being Active’ as part of Ilminster’s Annual Scarecrow Competition we wanted to represent one of our residents favourite ways of doing this!
Dancing and music makes being active so much fun that it doesn’t seem like a chore!
So here we are ‘Dancing the Night Away’
Good luck to everyone and so looking forward to seeing all of the amazing, creative Scarecrows!

Today we are proud to celebrate a very special milestone for our Shift Leader, Lily, who marks 2 years with us at the Hazelwell Lodge today! 🎉

Lily brings hard work, positivity, leadership, and so much care to Hazelwell every single day. We’re incredibly grateful for everything she does.

A lovely couple of weeks at Hazelwell
Lodge! Thank you Sunflowers of Somerset for the seeds for our residents to grow! A visit to Singing for fun Monks Yard Community. Another interesting visit from Jan of Rural Rhymes and Reminiscing. Walks around our lovely town of Ilminster. Enjoying Lamington cake and Anzac biscuits made by our colleague Nadine. Iced drinks from our hydration station and enjoying the garden in the sunshine ☀️

Supporting independence is at the heart of what we do 💙
We take residents out shopping, a walk around our lovely little town, a visit to the local for a coffee or maybe a glass of beer! Encouraging choice, confidence, and everyday life skills. From picking out their own items to handling money and interacting with others, these small moments make a big difference in building independence. A visit from two beautiful little dogs or maybe just a cup of tea and a quiet chat or relaxing after a Reiki session.
It’s about empowering individuals to make their own decisions, maintain life skills, and feel connected to their community. 🌟
