Today the group started working on a four colour reduction Lino cut of sunflowers. This was the first time the group had attempted this technique so slow progress to be finished next week.

Reduction cuts build up different layers of colour each time cutting more away from the Lino (hence reduction). The pictures are all works in progress but so far it going great!

The group were Lino cutting today. It was all very quiet as the concentration was epic. We continued the bird theme (mostly) and lovely prints resulted.

Fri 4th Sept

Today we continued working on lino in an Expressionist style. We looked at different types of mark making and self portraits, using different colour papers, textures and designs as backdrops.
Next week we're looking at using more colour in our prints.

Well Art -28th August Using ink pens, we drew a circle, triangle or oval and let ourselves continue to draw from there. Some really interesting drawings were done.@

What a fun session! We continued to decorate the birds and elephants that we made from paper mache last week (I’ve added some photos before we started to decorate, to recap).
As always lots a chat, laughter, support and amazing creativity!!! 🩷

Well done to everyone who joined the Sashiko session today in Sew Motion. A new string in everyone's bow giving opportunities to expand on what was learned with new patterns and applications.
