At Pure Block Management, we are currently overseeing multiple developments progressing through the Cladding Safety Scheme, with each project presenting its own technical, logistical, and regulatory challenges.
🚧 Kemley House has now reached a major milestone, with the new cladding installation officially underway. Alongside the remediation works, additional funding was secured for replacement windows, given their integration with the external wall system.
🚧 Spring Street is now fully mobilised on site, with extensive scaffolding and contractor compounds in place as full building remediation progresses. This scheme involves substantial façade works and material changes, requiring close coordination among all parties.
🚧 Trinity Wharf has now entered the delivery phase, with scaffold works commencing ahead of remediation. While only a limited amount of visible timber cladding needs replacement, the primary issue is missing cavity barriers. Through collaboration with specialist teams, an alternative solution has been developed which significantly reduces disruption to residents, scaffolding requirements, programme length, and planning constraints.
What many people don’t see behind these projects is the enormous amount of work required before a scaffold is even erected, including intrusive investigations, funding negotiations, resident communication, contractor procurement, design coordination, planning discussions, and warranty requirements.
It’s rewarding to now see real physical progress being made across these developments as we continue working towards delivering safer buildings for residents.
Great to be working collaboratively with Wainwrights as Project Managers across these schemes, alongside HRS Cladding at Kemley House and Bell Building Projects at Spring Street and Trinity Wharf.
