Life gets busy, appointments get forgotten and sometimes the dentist just keeps slipping further down the to-do list.

Feeling emotional at the dentist is VERY normal.

And sometimes, those emotions aren’t about fear at all…they’re about relief.

When you’ve been living with dental pain for weeks, months or even longer, finally getting the treatment you need can be an incredibly emotional moment.

As Niamh explains, seeing that weight lift from a patient is one of those parts of dentistry that really stays with you.

If only our teeth stopped needing attention once we reached adulthood…

Regular dental appointments are just as important for grown-ups, even when nothing hurts. They give us the chance to check your teeth and gums, spot potential problems early and help keep your smile healthy for the long term.

And yes, we know life gets busy and sometimes it’s been slightly longer than six months…or six years. 😅

Sometimes, a small change can make a huge difference to the way you feel about your smile.

Composite bonding can be used to refine the shape of teeth, repair small chips, close gaps and create a more balanced, even appearance, often through incredibly subtle changes.

And that’s exactly the point. Great cosmetic dentistry shouldn’t necessarily make people wonder “What have you had done?” It should simply make your smile feel like the best version of yours.

For many of our patients, the biggest transformation isn’t just what we see in the before & after photos. It’s the confidence that comes with it.

Okay listen…we get the appeal. They’re convenient, they can look cheaper and they turn up at your door. But moving teeth isn’t something we’d recommend DIY-ing.

Before starting clear aligner treatment, we need to understand what’s happening beneath the surface too, checking the health of your teeth and gums, assessing your bite and making sure the planned movement is safe and suitable for your smile.

And unlike ordering online, you’ll have a dental professional there to monitor your progress and make adjustments throughout your treatment.

Clear aligners? Absolutely.
Clear aligners without proper dental supervision? We’d give that one a miss.
