GRIEVE

On behalf of her loving family, we respectfully announce the passing of a well known and much loved Benarty woman, Annie Grieve ( nee Brown ), known to many as Nannie, who passed away peacefully at the Victoria Hospital Kirkcaldy on Wednesday 9th Sept, aged 77 years.
Nannie was a loving wife to Billy, a much loved mum of Elspeth, William and Richard, also a nana, an auld Nana, sister, sister in law, aunty and a very good friend to all who knew her.
Nannies funeral service will take place at Kinglassie Cemetery on Wednesday 23rd Sept at 12 noon, to which all family and friends are respectfully invited. The service will be taken by celebrant Graham Primrose.

NOWRIE

Peacefully in the presence of his loving daughters, at the Victoria Hospital, on Wednesday 2nd September 2026, Richard Toshack Nowrie, aged 68 years, formerly of Cowdenbeath and more latterly of Ladybank.
Richard was a much loved son of Emily and the late Frank, a loving dad of Gemma and Rebecca, dear brother of Catherine, Uncle of Barry and Craig ,also a good friend to all who knew him. Richard will also be remembered by many former colleagues at the Gas Board.
Richards funeral service will take place at Ballingry Cemetery on Thursday 17th Sept at 12 noon, to which all family and friends are respectfully invited. The service will be taken by celebrant and family friend Craig Adamson. There is an opportunity , if so desired, to make a voluntary online donation in aid of Cairn Terrier Rescue, in memory of Richards Cairn Terrier Rannoch and his love of the breed.

This morning the residents of Benarty awoke to the devastating news that person or persons had decided it was ok to rampage through Ballingry Cemetery causing physical and psychological damage to our loved ones and their families. Absolutely disgusting sick behaviour. The trauma some families have had to endure this morning far outweighs the financial impact. Hopefully when justice is served you will pay a heavy price. In the meantime if I can be of any help to those affected please get in touch. I’m sure everyone in Benarty will pull together to help those affected. Harry

WARD

It is with great sadness, we respectfully announce the passing of a well known and much loved Dunfermline man , James Ward, known affectionately to everyone as Jim, who passed away peacefully at home on Sunday 23rd August, aged 88 years.
Jim was a beloved husband of the late Moira, also a dearly loved dad, grandad, father in law and a good friend and neighbour to all who knew him.
Jim was a well known Quality Control Chemist at C.H Dexters, also known as Ahlstrom, where he worked until retirement.
Jims funeral service will take place at Dunfermline Cemetery on Monday 7th Sept at 11am, to which all family and friends are respectfully invited. The service will be taken by celebrant Graham Primrose. With the familys permission, please feel free to share this announcement.

GALLACHER

On behalf of his loving family , we respectfully announce the passing of a much loved Rosyth man ( formerly Tranent), John Gallacher, who passed away suddenly at home on Tuesday 11th August . aged 68 years.
John was a much loved husband of Ann, a loving stepdad of Laura, cherished grandad of Chloe, Jade and Jasmine, a dear brother of Christine, father in law of Bruce, son in law of Betty and also a dear uncle, brother in law and friend. John was a former revenue officer at Fife Council.

Johns funeral service will take place at Dunfermline Crematorium on Friday 28th August at 10.45am, to which all family and friends are respectfully invited. Family flowers only please but donations can be made , if so desired, for Marie Curie. The service will be taken by celebrant Graham Primrose.

We respectfully announce the passing of a well known Kelty man, Alexander Clark, who passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on Sunday 26th July 2026, aged 71 years.
Alex was a much loved husband of the late Mary, also a dear step dad, brother and step di.

20 years in jail for the rogue funeral director from England who committed 67 offences related to his business. His actions cast a dark shadow over the funeral business. Fortunately people like him are few and far between. The one thing we need from a funeral director is trust. This man is a disgrace to every family affected by his actions. Did you know Scotland is the only country in the UK that has a regulated funeral industry. Inspectors making sure all funeral directors are implementing the funeral code of practice. Every funeral director in Scotland is registered. Peace of mind at a difficult time
