Our next Journal Club starts this Saturday — there’s still time to join us.

How confident do you feel moving beyond “the paper says…” to asking what the evidence actually means? Postpartum Psychosis Beyond the Headlines starts this Saturday in the ACPsych Hub.

We’ll use one research paper as the starting point for a much wider conversation about how psychological knowledge is produced, how diagnostic systems shape understanding, whose experiences are represented and what happens when mental health becomes headline news.

You do not need to be an experienced researcher to take part. Journal Club is designed to make critical appraisal feel accessible, relevant and connected to real clinical questions.

It is completely asynchronous, so there is no live session to attend.

ACPsych members receive Journal Club as part of their membership, while non-members can also purchase access.

Visit aspiringclinicalpsych.org to join before we begin.

If you’re thinking about applying for Clinical Psychology training for 2027 intake, now is a good time to start thinking about how you want to approach the journey. Preparing for the DClinPsy can begin long before you are deciding what goes into an application. There is time to reflect on what you have learned, understand how you are developing, explore your strengths and development needs and think about what you want from the year ahead. The DClinPsy Prep Pathway provides ongoing space for learning, reflection, mentoring and preparation across the journey.
