🥂 This month at Burrows House , we took a moment together to celebrate some very special members of our team 💜

We are so pleased to recognise Cyril Ochoifeoma, Havinder Kaur and Vijay Rajendiran, our wonderful Care Assistants, along with Shruthi Menon, our Home Administrator. Each of them brings so much care, dedication and positivity into our home every day, and it truly does not go unnoticed.

It was a lovely moment of appreciation shared with the team, and a chance to say a simple but heartfelt thank you for everything they do for our residents and for each other 🥳

🧁🍰 Sweet Treats for a Wonderful Cause! 🍰🧁

Following our recent relatives' meeting at Burrows House , we were delighted to host a special bake sale in support of the Alzheimer's Society . 💙

Our wonderful team worked hard to prepare a delicious selection of homemade cakes and sweet treats, which were thoroughly enjoyed by the families who attended. The event was a fantastic opportunity to come together, enjoy some refreshments, and raise money for a cause that is close to so many of our hearts.

We were incredibly grateful for the generosity and support shown by our residents' families, who not only enjoyed the cakes but also appreciated our efforts to raise funds and awareness for Alzheimer's Society. Every donation made will help support the charity's vital work for those living with dementia and their loved ones.

A huge thank you to everyone who attended, donated, and helped make the event such a success. Together, we can make a difference. 💙✨

What a brilliant time we had at Burrows House celebrating Cultural Diversity Day 🌍💜

Our wonderful team put together a fantastic spread of dishes from different cultures for everyone to try, and residents loved tasting something new while chatting about favourite foods, memories and traditions. There were definitely a few empty plates by the end 😊

The music soon followed, and before long our amazing residents and staff were up dancing together, enjoying songs and rhythms from around the world. From singalongs to a few lively dance moves, the whole home was full of energy, laughter and feel good moments 💃🕺

A lovely reminder that even with different backgrounds and traditions, coming together is what makes our home so special 💜

At Burrows House our wonderful residents had a fantastic time moving to music 💜

They joined in exercises with the staff and even had a little dance along. Stephen, one of our residents, took the lead and showed everyone how to exercise, and it was lovely seeing both residents and staff joining in with him 😊

It was such a joyful session full of energy, laughter, and great company!

Everyone took part with enthusiasm, enjoying ball games, music, and movement exercises. It was so nice to see smiles all around as residents laughed, moved, and shared the moment together 😊

We're wishing a very happy birthday to the lovely Doreen, who celebrated her special day last week surrounded by her son, fellow residents, and our team at Burrows House 🎂💜

It was a really wonderful celebration as Doreen enjoyed blew out her candles and shared her birthday cake with everyone in the main lounge. It was such a lovely moment to celebrate together and make a fuss of someone very special 😊

🥁 What an exciting day at Burrows House as we held our very own Resident Champion Election! 🥁

With nine fantastic contenders taking part, the home was buzzing with anticipation as votes were cast and carefully counted. It turned into a real close call between Joan and Doreen, with everyone on the edge of their seats right until the very last vote 😊

In the end, we are delighted to announce that Doreen has been crowned our Resident Champion! A huge congratulations to her, and a big well done to all of our wonderful residents who took part with such enthusiasm 💜

While there could only be one winner on paper, the real celebration was seeing everyone come together, get involved, and enjoy the whole process. What a brilliant day at Burrows House ✨

Burrows House was full of music, dancing and plenty of waving flags as we celebrated VE Day together 🇬🇧

Our amazing residents had such a lovely afternoon singing along to wartime favourites with Claire, who had everyone joining in from the very first song. Susan, one of our wonderful Activities Coordinators, even dressed for the occasion which certainly brought a few smiles 😊

It was also so nice to welcome families along to celebrate with us too, making the day feel extra special for everyone 💜
