Celebrating 10 years of Lodge Legal Services.

This year marks a very special milestone for the Lodge Brothers Legal Services team, headed by Sophie Andrews.

To celebrate a fantastic decade, the team enjoyed a wonderful dinner at Brumus Restaurant in London’s Haymarket Hotel. Mike and Katherine Lodge joined the celebrations, and Sophie marked the occasion with a few words reflecting on the team’s journey.

It was a joyful evening filled with good food, great company and plenty of laughter, the perfect way to celebrate ten successful years!

Congratulations to Sophie and the entire Lodge Legal team on this brilliant achievement. Here’s to the next chapter! 🥂

Just 4 days to go! 🐘💙

The countdown is on! In just four days, Trunks Across the Thames launches across Slough, Eton, Windsor and Maidenhead, bringing a colourful herd of 30 large and 61 small elephant sculptures to discover.

The trail has been created to raise vital funds for Thames Hospice, with every sculpture telling its own unique story.

We’re especially proud to sponsor Daisy, our In Memory Elephant. Daisy offers a meaningful way to remember someone special. For a donation of £57, artist Simon Pink will hand-paint the name of your loved one onto Daisy as a permanent dedication. Once the trail ends, Daisy will return to Thames Hospice, where these tributes will remain as a lasting celebration of life.

A donation of £57 could fund a bereavement support call from a specialist counsellor, helping a family at one of the most difficult times in their lives.

To make the most of the trail, download the Trunks Across the Thames Trail App for £1.99. You’ll be able to collect all 91 sculptures, unlock offers along the way, and every app purchase helps support the work of Thames Hospice.

We hope you’ll join us on the trail and visit Daisy. 💙

Our Chairman, Robert Lodge, was recently awarded Honorary Membership of the London Association of Funeral Directors in recognition of his many years of dedicated service to the organisation.

The award was announced during the LAFD Annual General Meeting held on 13th May 2026 at the Sheraton Grand London Park Lane in Mayfair.

The honour had been kept secret from Robert, who was both surprised and delighted as he received warm applause from the gathered members of the association while collecting the award from LAFD Past President, Michael Tiney.

Robert has played an important role within the London Association of Funeral Directors throughout his career and is himself a former President of the organisation. His commitment to education and professional standards helped shape the respected Certificate in Funeral Arranging and Administration (Cert FAA). It was therefore particularly fitting that six members of the Lodge Brothers team also collected their Cert FAA awards on the evening after successfully passing their examinations.

Everyone at Lodge Brothers Funeral Directors is extremely proud of Robert and grateful for the continued knowledge, guidance and support he provides to the business and the wider profession.

This week is Dying Matters Awareness Week 2026 (4–10 May)
A reminder that talking about death and dying shouldn’t be taboo.

Because the more we talk, the more we understand, support and live fully.

Something special is coming soon…

We’re proud to be supporting 'Daisy the In Memory Elephant', as part of Trunks across the Thames, a free, family-friendly art trail featuring beautifully designed elephant sculptures across the Thames Valley for nine weeks.

Each sculpture is individually created by artists and sponsored by organisations, helping to raise awareness and vital funds for Thames Hospice, while encouraging more open conversations around death, dying and remembrance.

For Lodge Brothers, remembrance is at the heart of what we do, making this a very natural partnership.

Watch this space and look out for the reveal of Daisy very soon.

We are so grateful to the families who take the time to share their experience with us. Thank you for your kind words.

We’re incredibly proud of our Windsor team member Maaike, who recently launched her debut novel Attrickwater (Lilly), the first book in a WW2 trilogy.

Published earlier this month, the launch event was held at Holy Trinity Garrison Church in Windsor and featured readings, music and a wonderful community atmosphere.

It’s always inspiring to see the creativity and talent within our team. Congratulations, Maaike!

We’re very grateful to Mrs Clark for her kind words.

It is always an honour to support families at such a difficult time, and to know that our team provided dignity, care and reassurance means more than we can say.

Our thoughts remain with Mrs Clark and her family.
