Recovery doesn't look the same for everyone.

For some, it might mean breaking the cycle of compulsive s*xual behaviour or p**nography and stepping away from chems*x. For others, it might look like regaining control over gambling, gaming or social media. Or maybe it’s the journey of understanding how past trauma has taken over your life.

At Innisfree Therapy, we understand recovery and how to create lasting change.

Our goal for Recovery Month is to continue empowering our clients to regain control, build healthier relationships, and lead more fulfilling lives.

It starts with one conversation.

Discovering that your partner has been living a secret s*xual life can turn your relationship upside down and make you feel like your life is falling apart.

For partners of someone struggling with S*x Addiction/Compulsive S*xual Behaviour (CSB), the shock often goes far beyond the s*xual behaviour.

It’s being blindsided by the secrecy and the lies, and wondering if you can get through this together.

You may find yourself questioning not only whether you can trust your partner, but whether you can trust your own judgement.

“How did I not know?”
“What else have I missed?”
“Was any of it real?”
“Who IS this person?”

The emotional impact can be overwhelming.

At Innisfree Therapy, we recognise the significant relational trauma that can follow the discovery of s*xual secrecy and CSB.

Partners need their own space to process what has happened, rebuild a sense of safety, and begin trusting themselves again.

Our specialist therapists work individually with partners, as well as through our Phoenix Partners Programme, providing dedicated support for those affected by a partner’s Compulsive S*xual Behaviour.

Has your p**n use become a problem?

Do you want to stop, but feel completely powerless?

Maybe watching p**n started out casually and felt harmless. But over time, your casual use has become a compulsion that now feels wildly out of control.

At Innisfree Therapy Ltd, we work with clients who struggle to stop watching p**n, even when they know it’s affecting their relationships, sleep, work, or self-worth.

You don’t have to be “addicted” to get help.

If it’s interfering with your life, you deserve support.

31 August is International Overdose Awareness Day.

An average of 15 to 18 people die from drug misuse and overdoses every day in the UK.

England and Wales alone recorded 5,565 total drug-poisoning deaths in 2024.

However, thousands of opioid-related deaths are historically missed or misclassified in official coroners' reporting, meaning the actual daily rate could be higher.

Behind every overdose statistic is a person, a family and a community. As we recognise International Overdose Awareness Day, Innisfree Therapy Ltd remains committed to reducing the harm and stigma surrounding addiction.
