Tuesday Thoughts 💭 ….

Taken quietly before a service I delivered at North East Surrey Crematorium, this view is a gentle reminder of the power of peaceful surroundings.
Finding a space that offers genuine comfort and tranquility can make all the difference during life’s most difficult moments. Places like this provide a calm backdrop for reflection, allowing us to focus entirely on honouring a unique life and holding onto the memories that matter most.
Every life story deserves to be told with warmth, dignity, and care. 🌿

✨ Tuesday Thoughts… just say hello 👋

There’s something rather lovely about a simple “hello.”

It costs nothing, takes seconds, and you never know where that little word might lead.

For me, as a celebrant, so many wonderful conversations begin exactly that way. A couple wander over, we say hello, we have a chat… and before long, we’re talking about their story, their plans and what could make their ceremony truly theirs. ❤️

And that’s why I’m particularly looking forward to the next couple of weekends!

✨ Tuesday Thoughts… What’s Coming Up in September? ✨

Well, September is here — and my diary is ready! 🍂

There’s a lovely mix of things coming up over the next few weeks…

🌿 Supporting different families with heartfelt and personal farewells at the Local Crematorium

💍 Heading to the wedding fairs at Epsom Downs and Kempton Park Racecourse, where I’m looking forward to meeting couples and chatting all things weddings.

💕 Sitting down with couples to talk about there weddings in Winter of 2026 and Spring of 2027 and naming ceremonies, hearing their stories and finding out what’s important to them.

🥂 And I’ll also be taking on the role of Master of Ceremonies at a wedding, helping everything run smoothly so the couple can relax and enjoy their day.

When I look at my diary, I’m reminded just how much I love the variety of being a celebrant.

Different people. Different stories. Different celebrations and farewells.

And I feel very lucky to be part of them. ❤️

So… September, let’s do this! 🍂✨

Tuesday Thoughts …💭

Being an MC isn’t about being the loudest person in the room.

It’s about knowing the room.

Knowing when to turn the energy up, when to slow things down, when to get people laughing — and when to step back and let the moment happen.

Whether it’s a wedding, awards ceremony, corporate event, gala, charity night or celebration, the job is the same:

Keep things moving.
Keep people engaged.
Keep the atmosphere right.
And make sure everyone knows what’s happening without making it all about you.

For me, that’s the fun of being an MC.

Reading the room, working with the organisers, keeping an eye on the timings and, most importantly, making sure everyone has a good time.

You bring the event. I’ll bring the microphone. 😉🎤

Tuesday Thoughts 💭 ….. We always think we have more time.

More time to call.
More time to visit.
More time to say, “I love you.”

But time has a funny way of slipping by.

Being a celebrant has taught me something important, our stories matter.

The memories, the conversations, the little moments… they become the things we treasure most.

So don’t wait.

Make the call.
Ask the question.
Make the visit.
Say the words. ❤️

Because every life has a story worth sharing.
