We gathered to es**rt a beloved son, dad, grandad, brother and uncle on his final journey. The suddenness of his loss, naturally left those who knew and loved him shaken and deeply saddened. Remembering Dave, continuing to talk of him and his life is the most positive way to help erase the pain of loss a little. Dave’s service was for all whose lives had been touched by knowing him - cheeky, charming, fun loving diamond of a gentleman who always had a twinkle in his eye.
Dave, your time to rest now, your Legacy will remain in the hearts of all who knew you.
The family would like to express their sincere and grateful thanks to all who attended the service and for all the kind expressions of sympathy, cards of condolence and donations received in memory for The British Heart Foundation. Thanks are also extended to The Floral Mill for the beautiful floral tributes, Packhorse Bowling & Social Club for their hospitality and to Emily Bartram for her unique service.

Yesterday we attended Stockport Crematorium to es**rt a dearly loved lady on her final journey. The approach to the chapel is beautiful, with a leafy pathway and the sun shining, accompanied by the sweet sound of birdsong.
As I walked, it gave me a moment to reflect on the vocation I am privileged to do each day. Caring for someone’s loved one at such an important time is a responsibility I never take for granted. It is an honour to be entrusted with their care and to support families as they say their final farewell.
Days like today remind me why I carry out this role with such passion, respect, and dedication.
A privilege to serve, an honour to care, and a responsibility I hold with the utmost respect. ❤️

Why do funeral directors bow at the coffin?
The bow you see from funeral directors isn't simply part of a ceremony. It's a silent gesture of respect for the person who has passed away, and an acknowledgement of the family who have entrusted us with their loved one's care.
For us, it is a moment to pause and reflect. A moment to honour a life that has been lived, loved and remembered.
It may seem like a small gesture, but it
carries great meaning. It recognises loss, shows respect, and reminds families that they do not face their grief alone.
In a profession built on compassion, we believe even the smallest acts can speak volumes

We are honoured to have es**rted Jake on his final journey. Dearly loved son of Gary and Yvonne, much loved brother of Matthew and Sinead, devoted dad of Carson, treasured grandson, uncle, nephew, cousin and friend to many.
He made quite a name for himself through banter, mischief, and his legendary winding-up games, yet he was always respectful and kind.
Cheeky Jake had that magic about him – he lit up every place he went. Thoughtful, loving, and generous, with a heart so wide, he always had love to spare and a bond with his people beyond compare.
You’ve left your mark in every laugh, every memory, and every story that will be told for years to come. Though it hurts that you’ve gone far too soon, your legacy lives on in all those who knew and loved you.
Jake’s family in their recent sad bereavement would like to thank everyone for their attendance and for all the kind expressions of sympathy and donations received in memory for Space4Autism. Thanks are also extended to Cathy for her unique service.
