🦖 Messy Play Tuesday with Sue! 🦖

Dinosaur Sensory Tuff Tray Adventure! 🦕

With it being National Dinosaur Day on monday, yesterday's messy play activity was a Dinosaur Sensory Tuff Tray Adventure! packed with exciting textures, colours and opportunities for imaginative play.

Enjoyed discovering different textures using chia seeds, Weetabix, coloured rice, ice and food colouring to create their own prehistoric world.

🥣 Crunchy cereal "mud" and "sand"
🥚 Dinosaur eggs to discover
🦕 Friendly dinosaurs ready for adventure

Messy Play with Sue is all about sensory play, creative activity ideas and safe opportunities for children to explore, learn and have fun through messy play.

🌿 Occupational Therapy out in the community 🌿

One of our lovely Occupational Therapy Assistants, Jake, recently took a therapy session out into the community and shared this reflection with us.

Had the privilege of taking an Occupational Therapy session out into the community last week and it was a powerful reminder of why I love this profession.

While clinic spaces have their place, there is something irreplaceable about stepping into the wilderness. For clients, being out in nature does more than just clear the mind - it challenges balance, builds endurance, and reduces anxiety in ways a sterile room simply can't.

Occupational Therapy is all about enabling people to participate in the everyday world. What better way to practice that than by actually being in it?
Shoutout to my incredible client for pushing boundaries last week!

A huge well done to Jake, who will be graduating as an Occupational Therapist this July 🎓🐉 We're incredibly proud of everything he has achieved and can't wait to see what the future holds.

For those heading back to school today, we hope you have a great first day back.

It's a busy start to the week here at Dragon OT, with assessments, school visits, 1:1 sessions and plenty happening behind the scenes.

On Wednesday, Redz, Ash and Mike will be attending the SCG SEND Leadership Conference 2026 in Preston. We're looking forward to meeting everyone and hearing about the latest developments across the SEND sector.

Here’s a little behind-the-scenes look at the preparation and presentation, along with a message from Mike about his experience.
