Managing blood sugar during pregnancy is critical. Keeping blood glucose levels in target range is especially important during pregnancy to reduce the risk of harm to both mother and baby.

That's why we welcome new draft guidelines from the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) recommending that anyone living with type 1 diabetes who is pregnant or planning a pregnancy should be offered a pregnancy-specific hybrid closed loop (HCL) system.

This is another step forward in improving access to technology for people living with type 1 diabetes, especially during such a pivotal time in their lives.

Registered with a GP in Stockport? From 1st June, you can drop-in for a chest x-ray at Stepping Hill Hospital if you're over 40 and worried about a cough that's lasted for three weeks or more.

No appointment necessary – just visit the radiology department between 9am – 5pm, Monday to Friday.
