⚠️ What should you do during a seizure?

Seeing someone have a seizure can be frightening, but knowing what to do can help keep them safe. ❤️

✅ Stay calm✅ Move dangerous objects away✅ Protect their head with something soft✅ Time the seizure✅ Stay with them until they recover✅ Place them in the recovery position afterwards if they’re breathing normally

🚫 Do NOT restrain them🚫 Do NOT put anything in their mouth

📞 Call 999 if:

The seizure lasts longer than 5 minutes

They are injured

They have trouble breathing afterwards

It’s their first seizure

Another seizure starts straight away

Knowing basic first aid can make all the difference in an emergency.

🚨 One thing I wish more people knew about emergencies…

Staying calm and calling for help quickly can save lives.

Many people panic in emergency situations, but even simple actions like calling 999, starting CPR, placing someone in the recovery position, or stopping severe bleeding can make a huge difference before professionals arrive.

You don’t need to be a paramedic to help someone. Basic first aid knowledge matters. ❤️

Could you help in an emergency?

🔥 BBQs, campfires, and outdoor adventures are some of the best parts of warmer weather — but they also bring an increase in injuries like burns, cuts, smoke inhalation, and food poisoning. 🏕️🍔

A few simple precautions can make all the difference:
✅ Keep children away from hot grills and open flames
✅ Use knives and camping tools carefully
✅ Make sure fires are well ventilated
✅ Cook food thoroughly and wash hands regularly

Stay prepared, stay safe, and enjoy the outdoors responsibly this summer ☀️🩹

🌼 Hay fever season is well and truly here — but do you know the difference between seasonal allergies and a serious allergic reaction?
Sneezing, itchy eyes, and a runny nose are common this time of year, but symptoms like difficulty breathing, swelling, dizziness, or collapse could be signs of anaphylaxis — a life-threatening medical emergency.
Many people don’t realise how quickly severe allergic reactions can develop, which is why knowing the difference matters.
Take a moment to learn the signs, share this post, and help others stay safe this allergy season. 💛
