A little reintroduction…

Hello, I’m Louise.

For those who are new here, and for those who have been part of my journey for years, I thought I’d reintroduce myself.

I’m a Somatic Therapist, Yoga Teacher and lover of creating spaces where people can simply slow down.

For over 25 years I’ve been exploring the connection between body and mind, and for the last decade I’ve specialised in somatic therapy, supporting people to reconnect with themselves through gentle, body-led practices.

My work isn’t about fixing people.

I believe that when we feel truly seen, heard and safe, the body often begins to soften all by itself.

It’s about offering a space where you can pause, soften and feel heard.

A place where you don’t have to hold everything together.

A place where you can simply arrive exactly as you are.

Alongside my yoga studio in Arnold, I also work from a beautiful clinic in East Bridgford, where I offer one-to-one Somatic Therapy sessions, each one tailored to the person in front of me.

Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed, exhausted, disconnected from yourself, living with the effects of stress or trauma or simply longing for a moment to breathe, every session is guided by what your body needs on that day.

And I’m so pleased to introduce my newest offering…

🩶 The Softening Ritual

A carefully curated 90-minute somatic experience designed to help you slow down, soften and reconnect with yourself.

Every Softening Ritual is completely bespoke and may include:

🩶 A gentle arrival and grounding

🩶 Breath and embodied awareness

🩶 Slow, intuitive Body Gua Sha

🩶 A deeply restorative guided meditation

🩶 Time for stillness and integration

There is nothing to achieve.

No pressure to talk.

No expectation to fix yourself.

Just a quiet, nurturing space where your body is gently invited to soften, settle and simply be.

šŸ“ Appointments available every Monday
East Bridgford
8.30am – 6.30pm

If you’ve been longing for a little more softness, craving space to exhale, or simply giving yourself permission to pause, I’d love to welcome you.

02/08/2026

Twenty-two years.

It’s funny how four walls can hold so much life.

This house has been home to birthday parties, Christmas mornings, homework spread across the kitchen table, laughter echoing up the stairs and tears quietly wiped away behind closed doors.

It’s where I raised two beautiful daughters.

Where we welcomed cats, a dog, chickens, guinea pigs, hamsters and fish into our family.

It’s where we celebrated milestones, navigated uncertain times and found our way through life’s many seasons.

And it wasn’t just our home.

It became a home for so many of my girls’ friends too.

Some came for a sleepover.
Some stayed for the weekend.
Some seemed to move in for weeks at a time.

Watching those friendships grow, hearing the laughter that filled these rooms and knowing they felt comfortable enough to call this place a second home has been one of life’s greatest gifts.

And then there were my friends.

The ones who have sat around my dining table through every season of life.

Cups of tea that somehow turned into bottles of wine.

Conversations that lasted for hours.

Laughter that could be heard from every room.

Tears that needed no explanation.

They celebrated the happiest moments with me and quietly carried me through the hardest ones too.

These walls have witnessed it all.

Over the coming months, I’ll be preparing it for sale.

Not because I’m ready to leave the memories behind.

But because life moves forward, and I know it’s time to begin a new chapter.

There are mixed emotions.

Gratitude.
Excitement.
A little sadness.
A little uncertainty.

But I’ve learnt that two things can be true at the same time.

You can deeply love where you’ve been, while still feel ready for what’s next.

As I paint walls, clear cupboards and lovingly prepare this home for another family, I’ll also be making space for my own next adventure.

I’m not quite sure what that looks like yet.

But I trust that, just as this house held me for twenty-two years, somewhere else is quietly waiting to become home too.

This house has held everyone I love.

Sunday 30th August | 6pm - 8pm

The Sunday Softening🩶
Restorative Yoga & Yoga Nidra

Sometimes the kindest thing we can do is stop.

To pause the constant doing.
To soften the pace.
To give ourselves permission to simply be.

Join me for a beautifully nourishing two-hour practice designed to help you slow down and reconnect with yourself.

Our evening begins with gentle, fully supported Restorative Yoga, where every posture is carefully cushioned with bolsters, blankets and props, allowing your body to gradually soften without effort.

As your body begins to unwind, we’ll ease into a deeply relaxing Yoga Nidra—often described as ā€œyogic sleepā€ā€”a guided practice that invites profound relaxation while you rest comfortably, wrapped in warmth and stillness.

There is nothing to achieve.

Nothing to strive for.

Just space to breathe, soften and receive.

Whether you’re feeling physically tired, emotionally full, or simply longing for a little quiet, this evening offers an opportunity to step away from the demands of everyday life and spend a little time caring for yourself.

Suitable for all ages and all levels of experience.

✨ Book your place via the link in my bio.

I’d love to share this gentle evening with you.

Every story has a beginning

This is mine

Sometimes we become so focused on where we’re going that we forget to turn around and see how far we’ve already travelled.

This photograph reminds me of that.

Over the last few years I’ve experienced heartbreak, surgery, anxiety, exhaustion, moments of deep joy, and moments where I wasn’t quite sure who I was anymore.

I kept looking for the next answer, the next thing that might help.

But what I slowly realised was this…

I didn’t need to become someone different.

I needed to come back to myself.

Back to my breath.

Back to my body.

Back to the quiet wisdom that had been there all along, patiently waiting for me to listen.

The Art of Coming Home wasn’t created because I had all the answers. It was created because I finally stopped searching for them everywhere else and began listening to myself.

That’s where The Art of Coming Home was born.

Not from a business plan.

Not because I wanted to create another workshop.

But because I wanted to create the kind of space I had spent so long searching for myself.ā€

A space to slow down.

To breathe.

To move.

To rest.

To reconnect with themselves.

To remember who they are beneath the noise of everyday life.

Moving forward doesn’t mean becoming someone new.

It means carrying your wisdom with you.

Keeping your kindness.

Keeping your softness.

Keeping your heart open.

And trusting that every step is leading you closer to the life that feels most like home.

That’s the journey we’ll share together in The Art of Coming Home.

Not changing who you are.

Remembering her.

The Art of Coming Home
A Seven-Month Somatic Journey for Women

There comes a moment when we realise we’ve spent so much of our lives looking after everyone else that we’ve forgotten how to truly listen to ourselves.

This past year has taught me to slow down, listen to my body, honour rest and stop trying to fix everything.

Those lessons didn’t come from a book.

They came from living them.

And from that journey, The Art of Coming Home was born.

This is more than a collection of workshops. It is a seven-month journey for women — a space to pause once a month, breathe, move, reflect and reconnect with yourself, one chapter at a time.

Our Journey Together

🌿 September — Listening to Your Body
🌿 October — Coming Home to Yourself
🌿 November — The Art of Letting Go
🌿 December — The Sacred Pause
🌿 January — Move, Breathe & Flourish
🌿 February — Finding Calm Within
🌿 March — Living with Ease

Each workshop builds gently upon the last, allowing time to absorb, practise and integrate what you discover before we meet again.

Sundays, 1.00pm–3.00pm

13th September
18th October
15th November
20th December
17th January
21st February
21st March

Investment: £250

Payment can be made in full or spread over three monthly instalments.

Spaces are available for the complete seven-month journey rather than individual workshops.

If your heart has been quietly whispering that it’s time to reconnect with yourself, perhaps this is your invitation.

DM me for more information or to book.

I’d love to welcome you.

With love,
Louise šŸ¤

For a while now I thought I needed more time.

More hours in the day.
More energy.
More space.

What I’ve slowly realised is that I don’t need more time…

I need to protect the moments that bring me back to myself.

For me, it’s my egg chair.

A cup of tea.

The birds singing.

No rushing.

No expectations.

Just a few quiet moments to breathe and remember who I am before the world asks anything of me.

It’s become much more than a chair.

It’s where I come home to myself.

The funny thing is…

Life hasn’t suddenly become easier.

There are still challenges, worries and days that feel heavy.

But I’ve learnt that if I protect these small moments, I move through everything else with a little more grace.

Sometimes the smallest rituals become the biggest acts of self-care.

So I’m curious…

What’s your egg chair?

Where’s the place, person or ritual that helps you come home to yourself?

With love,

Lou ā¤ļø

Sunday 26th July 10.00am – 12.00pm šŸ’š

Take two hours just for you.

Step away from the busyness of life, soften the pace and give yourself permission to simply rest.

Our Restorative Yoga practice is a deeply nourishing, floor-based experience where every posture is fully supported with bolsters, blankets and props, allowing your body to completely relax.

As the body lets go, the breath naturally slows, the mind begins to quieten and the nervous system has the opportunity to reset, restore and rebalance.

Whether you’re feeling physically tired, emotionally drained or simply in need of some time to reconnect with yourself, this practice offers a peaceful sanctuary to pause, breathe and just be.

Suitable for all ages and all levels of experience.

I would love to share this beautiful practice with you.

Much love,
