🌸 New NHS Online Self‑Assessment Tool 🌸
The NHS has launched a new online self-assessment tool for women who experience a bleed or spotting they’ve been through the menopause and who are not on HRT.
📍 It's for women in Bury, Salford, Oldham, Heywood, Middleton, and Rochdale.
⚠️ Any bleeding from your va**na after the menopause (when your periods have been stopped for 12 months or more) should be checked out to rule out possible womb cancer.
💻 You can now do this without booking an appointment with a GP.
✅ Simply answer a few questions on the online self-assessment tool to request a hospital check.

💚 Mental Health Awareness Week | 11–17 May 💚
This week, we join the NHS in recognising that mental health is just as important as physical health.
Mental Health Awareness Week is a chance to:
✅ Talk openly about mental wellbeing
✅ Check in with friends, family, and colleagues
✅ Reduce stigma
✅ Remind ourselves that support is always available
If you or someone you know is struggling, help is there — you don’t have to face things alone.
📞 Support is available:

Urgent mental health support: Call NHS 111 (24/7) to be directed to your local NHS mental health crisis line
Samaritans: 116 123 (free, 24/7) – for anyone feeling overwhelmed or in distress
Emergency support: Call 999 or go to A&E if you or someone else is in immediate danger

Reaching out is a sign of strength. Let’s continue to look after each other and be kind to our minds. 💚

💙 Going Blue for AMR

Today, the team at Village is wearing blue to mark World Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) Awareness Week, running from 18–24 November.

AMR happens when bacteria no longer respond to antibiotics — a growing global threat that affects us all.

⚠️ Why it matters:
When antibiotics are overused or used incorrectly, they become less effective. Without them, everyday infections could become far more difficult to treat.

💬 How you can help:
• Only take antibiotics when prescribed by a qualified healthcare professional
• Never save leftover antibiotics or share them with others
• Always complete the full course, even if you start to feel better
• Wash your hands regularly and keep up to date with vaccinations
