👀 Do You See Me?
This Learning Disability Awareness Week, we're asking one simple but powerful question:
Do you see me?
Do you see my potential, my talents, my personality, my dreams? Or do you only see my disability?
A learning disability is lifelong and can affect how someone learns, understands information, and manages everyday tasks. But it does not define who they are.
People with learning disabilities are friends, colleagues, neighbours, artists, athletes, volunteers, leaders, and valued members of our communities. They deserve to be seen, heard, included, and empowered to live the lives they choose.
This week, challenge assumptions, start conversations, celebrate differences, and remember that true inclusion begins when we look beyond diagnosis and see the whole person.
💙 Because everyone deserves to be recognised for who they are, not judged by what others think they can or cannot do.
