Every woman deserves to live free from fear, control and abuse❤️

Choosing to speak out, leave an abusive relationship, set boundaries or rebuild your life is not weakness, it is courage. Every survivor's journey is different, and there is no right or wrong way to heal.

Did you know? On average, it takes a survivor around seven attempts to leave an abusive relationship for good. Leaving is often the most dangerous time, which is why support, understanding and compassion matter so much.

At Hope Prevails Preston, we stand alongside women who are reclaiming their lives and finding their strength. Together, we can challenge the stigma, raise awareness and remind every survivor that they are not alone.

If you or someone you know is experiencing domestic abuse, please reach out. Support is available, and there is hope beyond abuse.

Many people don't realise they have the right to ask if a current or former partner has a history of abusive behaviour. Clare's Law, also known as the Domestic Violence Disclosure Scheme, gives people a way to access information that could help them make informed decisions about their safety.

If you're worried about your own relationship or concerned about someone you care about, it's okay to ask questions. Knowing the signs of abuse and understanding the support available can make a real difference.

At Hope Prevails Preston, we're committed to raising awareness, supporting survivors, and helping our community stay informed. No one should have to face domestic abuse alone.

❗If this information could help someone you know, please share this post. You never know who might need to see it.

Today, we remember those whose lives have been lost as a result of domestic abuse.

We honour their memories and hold space for the families, friends, and communities who continue to grieve their loss.

Every person deserves to live a life free from fear, harm, and control. Behind every statistic is a person — someone with a story, dreams, loved ones, and a future that mattered.

Today is a reminder that domestic abuse can have devastating consequences, and that recognising the signs, offering support, and speaking out can help create safer futures.

If you or someone you know is experiencing fear, harm, or controlling behaviour in a relationship, support is available.

Hope Prevails Preston supports anyone aged 16+ living in the Preston area.

Healthy relationships are built on trust, respect, honesty, and open communication. You should feel supported, valued, and free to be yourself.

If any of this feels familiar, you don't have to face it alone.

Hope Prevails Preston supports anyone aged 16+ living in the Preston area who is experiencing fear, harm, or control in their relationships.
