This is what toileting success can look like.

A little girl.
Really struggling specifically around poo.

The anxiety was real.

Sitting on the toilet felt completely overwhelming.
Her mum had tried everything.

Then we had a consultation looked at child's temperament, interests, sensory needs.

A draped towel over her daughter while she sat on the toilet.

Just to block out the stimuli around her.

No expensive equipment.

No special gadgets.

A towel.

And it worked.

When I share this with parents the reaction is almost always the same
oh my god, why did I not think of that?

That's why I do what I do.

If you're exhausted, you've tried everything, and your child is still struggling drop me a message or book a free call.

Let's find your version of the towel.

Share with any friends and family.

This weeks Thursday's Tiny Shift
Love notes.

Grab a scrap of paper.
Thirty seconds.
And somewhere in the middle of their day your child unfolds it and remembers they are loved.
You don't need grand gestures.
Just show up in the small moments. That's what they remember.

And if you want to make it even easier

I've got 10 free lunchbox notes ready for you to download and use straight away

Comment love below and will share the link.🥰

This summer, thousands of parents will be buying school shoes.

Measuring feet.

Checking sizes.

Making sure they fit.

But how often do we stop and step into those shoes ourselves?

To see school through our child's eyes.

To feel the excitement.

The uncertainty.

The curiosity.

The nerves.

The enormous leap they're about to take.

Because when we understand the journey from their perspective, we support them differently.

We respond differently.

We connect differently.

And that's where confidence begins.

Not with pressure.

Not with perfection.

With understanding.

That's what my free School Confidence Masterclass is all about.

Stepping into your child's shoes before they step through the school gates.

❤️ September starts now. With preparation And with perspective.

Comment school if you have a school starter.

We have the Masterclass tonight, June 10th at 8pm

My thoughts on this.
The new DfE guidance (dropped a few weeks ago) says slow,
part-time starts can actually make things harder for children
creating what they call a "double transition"
that disrupts routines and delays children settling in.

That's a big shift from what a lot of schools have been doing.

Here's what I think parents need to hear though.

This doesn't mean your child just has to sink or swim.

It means the preparation you do NOW before September , matters more than ever.

Not the checklist stuff.

Not can they write their name?

The real stuff.

Understanding how YOUR child handles new situations.

What they need to feel brave.

What their version of "ready" actually looks like.

Because every child is different

I've been running strating school courses for 8 years (and before that, delivering school readiness programmes in the NHS).
I've seen what actually moves the needle for families.

A mum came to me as she had stopped talking about school with her child
because every time she did, her daughter would shut her down.

She thought the silence was helping.

It wasn't.

Her little girl was clocking it.

If mum won't even talk about it, it must be really scary.

We flipped it.

Used play to open up a the conversation instead of avoiding it.

Named the feelings through her toys before her daughter had to.

Within weeks she was coming to her mum with things instead of carrying them all alone.
That's the goal for a September starter
Not a fearless child.

A child who knows mum is safe to talk to about it.

Join my fr33 masterclass June 10th for tips on starting school.

Please share with your friends and family so I can reach more families. :)
