Alabaré Riverside Sanctuary A free 4pm-11pm mental health and wellbeing drop-in, based in Salisbury; for people aged 16+ living in Wiltshire, open every day. Who can use the Sanctuary?

We are here to provide a confidential service supporting the mental health and emotional wellbeing of individuals across Bath and North East Somerset, Swindon and Wiltshire. Support is tailored to your individual needs and we will always try to link in with your support network; whet

her that is friends, family or other professionals. Alabaré’s specially trained team will facilitate a safe space for you to talk through what’s happening in your life and will work with you to help find the best way forward. We can also help you access community resources and can link you to any extra support you may need. Individuals using the service must be:

16 years or over
Willing and able to work with us safely
Registered with a GP within Wiltshire, Swindon or BaNES South West Region

We cannot support anyone who is showing signs of being:

In critical danger of harm, injury or death
In need of immediate medical treatment
Unable to work collaboratively with us safely
Intoxicated or under the influence of alcohol or drugs
If you need a higher level of support than we can provide, please contact your local NHS Mental Health team or dial 999. Please get in touch if you wish to phone in on another's behalf, whether you are a friend, family member or a professional supporting someone who is struggling. Opening hours: Lines are open 4 pm – 11 pm seven days a week with drop-in sessions available by appointment.

Launching Common Ground, a new wellbeing session for anyone who wants to understand themselves better, feel more grounded, and learn practical coping tools.

We can't wait to see you there! We'll explore coping strategies, grounding techniques, and the 'why' behind your emotional reactions in simple, relatable language.

Get moving today with a simple 5-exercise circuit you can do at home: requiring no gym gear:

March in place (warm-up)
Chair sit-to-stands (lower-body strength)
Standing calf raises (balance and circulation)
Jumping jacks (cardio, modify for low-impact)
Wall push-ups (upper body and core strength)

Aim for 8–10 repetitions at a comfortable pace. Physical health supports overall wellness, and our peer support service offers a welcoming space to discuss your journey.

Here is our tip for Soothing Thursday: featuring a self-care spotlight.

Establishing a regular bedtime routine could be the defining factor in getting a good night's sleep. You should try not to use your phone for an hour before lights out.

Studies have shown that phone use before bed can disrupt sleep patterns. Instead, use the time to read a book, prepare your bedroom environment, unwind with some meditation, or practice self-care.
