And we are bringing you an event to help you connect with the unseen world.

Blindfolded. Barefoot. Moving in the dark, guided not by the mind, but by something much older.

This 30th of October we return to the Hollow Bone - this time with an even deeper intention. We dance to gather those that came before us. Maternal line. Paternal line. Collective ancestors. The spirits of this land.

Right at the threshold of Samhain, when the veil between worlds is at its thinnest, we will move and weave with our ancestors through music and ceremony.

This is more than a dance. It is ceremony. 🙏

Our CACAO & Ecstatic DANCE - Hollow Bone 🦴 Dance With The Ancestors is coming up on Friday 30th of October 6:30-9:30pm at .studio .

This is an opportunity to journey deep within and to connect with those that came before you. We are weaving into this event a ceremonial cacao, dance, guided shamanic journey, sound bath.

This is our penultimate CACAO & DANCE of the year!

It's fall migration. And birds hit windows every day. Here's exactly what to do if you find one. 🐦
Step 1: Approach gently
→ Wear gloves if you have them
→ Cover the bird with a light cloth or towel
→ Pick it up gently with both hands. Don't squeeze
Step 2: Make a safe space
→ Place it in a small cardboard box or a paper bag with air holes
→ Line it with a paper towel
→ Close the top, and put it in a dark, quiet, warm place (away from pets, kids, and noise)
Step 3: Wait
→ Don't offer food or water. That can be dangerous
→ Give it one to two hours
→ Check gently, without opening the box wide
Step 4: Release or call
→ If the bird is alert and moving, take the box outside and open it. Let it fly away
→ If it's still there after a couple of hours, or if it has a drooping wing, bleeding, or trouble breathing, call a licensed wildlife rehabilitator
→ Use ahnow.org (Animal Help Now) to find help near you
If a cat caught it:
→ Even if it looks fine, take it to a rehabilitator. Cat saliva carries bacteria that can be fatal without antibiotics
Important:
→ It's illegal to keep wild birds in the US. Most are protected by the Migratory Bird Treaty Act
→ Don't try to raise or nurse it yourself
Prevention:
→ Put markers on your windows (spaced about 2 inches apart)
→ Turn off unnecessary lights at night during migration
→ Keep cats indoors
Every bird you help is a journey that can continue.

Tomorrow’s sound bath begins with the didgeridoo and the drum. 🥁🌀

And I want to tell you something about the space itself.

The Hearth has a wooden floor. Old, resonant, suspended timber, the kind that hums when the bass hits it. When I play the didj through the speakers, that floor comes alive. You can feel it.

And here’s why that matters.

Your fascia - the connective tissue that wraps around every muscle, organ and bone in your body - responds to vibration. Research shows that low-frequency vibration increases the flow of hyaluronic acid within the fascial layers, the fluid that keeps your tissues hydrated, supple and free. When fascia becomes stuck, we feel it as tension, stiffness, pain.

In clinical vibroacoustic therapy, vibration is delivered through a specially designed bed or chair. At The Hearth, the delivery system is the building itself.

Didj → speakers → wooden floor → your body.

That’s a real, physical chain of vibration. You lying on that floor, with those low frequencies moving through the wood and into your tissues - that’s not just a beautiful experience. There’s something genuinely therapeutic happening.

And then the nervous system drops into deep rest - which is what the sound bath invites - which can help the fascia begin to release the tension it’s been holding.

The room is part of the medicine. 🌿
