Elm Tree Surgery Elm Tree Surgery is a long established rural dispensing GP practice based in Shrivenham, Swindon.

We are holding a flu clinic in practice on Thursday the 5th November . If you have been sent a booking link please use to book your appointment .If you have not received a booking link and meet the criteria for a vaccine please call and book .
Criteria
are aged 65 or over (including those who will be 65 by 31 March 2027)
are aged 18 to 64 and have certain long-term health conditions
are pregnant – you can have a flu vaccine during any stage of pregnancy
live in a care home
are the main carer for an older or disabled person, or receive a carer's allowance
live with someone who has a weakened immune system
We will also vaccinate those eligible for the Covid Vaccination.
Criteria
are aged 75 or over (including those who will be 75 by 31 January 2027)
are aged 18 to 74 years and have a weakened immune system because of a health condition or treatment

We are pleased to be rolling out a new service to connect deaf patients with a BSL interpreter via their own, or one of our, mobile devices. The QR codes are already displayed in reception areas around the hospital, but will now also be displayed in all wards and outpatient departments too. 🤳

A virtual BSL interpreter can support deaf patients during planned or emergency visits to the hospital, and accessing the interpreter through a mobile device means that interpreting support will be in place much quicker.

You may be eligible for a COVID-19 vaccine if you have a weakened immune system.

You may have a weakened immune system if you:
- have or had blood cancer (leukaemia, lymphoma or myeloma)
- had an organ, bone marrow or stem cell transplant
- have HIV, have a genetic disorder affecting your immune system (such as deficiencies of IRAK-4 or NEMO, complement disorder, severe combined immunodeficiency)
- are having or recently had chemotherapy, biological therapy or radiotherapy
- take steroid medicines, depending on your dosage
- or are having immunosuppressive treatment
