Today we celebrated National Hug a Cat Day with a very special visitor 🐾💛

Our lovely residents spent time with Evelyn, our gentle and affectionate volunteer cat, and the smiles say it all. Moments like these bring comfort, spark memories, and create meaningful connections that brighten everyone’s day.

Animal companionship can have such a calming and therapeutic impact, and today was a beautiful reminder of the joy that simple interactions can bring.

Thank you, Evelyn (and owner Charlotte), for all the cuddles and happiness you shared with us! 🐱✨

A wonderful afternoon of creativity and connection at our home today ✍️📖

We were delighted to welcome back Sophie from The Courtyard for another engaging creative writing session with our residents. It was especially lovely to see some new faces joining us, sharing their ideas, memories, and imagination in a relaxed and supportive environment.

Creative activities like these provide opportunities for self-expression, conversation, and meaningful social interaction, and it was fantastic to see everyone taking part with such enthusiasm.

A big thank you to Sophie at The Courtyard for their continued support and for helping create such enjoyable experiences for our residents. 💙

What a wonderful past week we’ve shared together at our home 💙

From meaningful conversations at our Family Forum – Sharing Our Dementia Journey – to smiles and laughter during our animal therapy visit, it’s been a week full of connection, creativity and joy.

Our residents also enjoyed:
✨ Creative writing sessions with our lovely volunteer Sophie
🎯 Hand-eye coordination games to keep minds and bodies active
📚 A heartwarming visit from the children of St Antony’s School, bringing energy and smiles to everyone

Moments like these remind us how important community, companionship and meaningful activities are in creating happy days for our residents.

Family time is so precious 💙

Today we celebrated yesterday’s national family day. Despite the cold and rainy weather, today’s indoor BBQ at lunch time was filled with special moments shared together.

In dementia care, these moments of love, connection, and togetherness mean everything. Thank you to the families who continue to support our home, join our activities, and help create such meaningful memories for our residents.
