This October, I’ll be running the Great South Run in memory of Honor and to raise money for the .
As someone whose life, and whose family’s lives, were deeply affected by addiction for many years, this charity immediately resonated with me. I was one of the lucky ones to say that recovery has completely changed my life, and I know all too well the pain, heartbreak, and devastation addiction leaves behind. That’s why I’m so passionate about supporting organisations that are helping people and the families who are living through it.
The H23 Foundation was created after Honor tragically lost her life to ketamine addiction at just 23 years old. Honor was bright, deeply loved, and had so much life ahead of her. Her family have turned unimaginable heartbreak into a mission to ensure no other family has to experience the same loss.
Every pound donated goes towards raising awareness, educating people about the dangers of ketamine, and providing vital support to families affected by addiction. The work they’re doing has the potential to save lives.
If my own story has ever inspired you, or if you simply believe that no family should have to lose someone they love to addiction, I’d be incredibly grateful for your support.
