Medication Recall

Some cartons of Ramipril 2.5mg Capsules, manufactured by Crescent Pharma Limited, may contain blister strips of Ramipril 10 mg Capsules as a precautionary measure these are being recalled.

If you were prescribed Ramipril 2.5 mg Capsules, and received a Crescent pack with batch number GR155023, please check the blister strips inside (the batch number and expiry date information can be found on outer box.

• If the box contains blister strips that are labelled as Ramipril 2.5 mg Capsules, you do not need to take further action and may continue to take the capsules.
• If the box contains a blister strip that is labelled as Ramipril 10 mg capsules, do not take the medicine, contact your pharmacy.
• If you are unsure or have any questions, please seek advice from your pharmacy or other healthcare professionals.
• If you believe you have taken the Ramipril 10 mg Capsules and are currently experiencing any side effects such as feeling lightheaded, fainting being fatigued, then please seek immediate medical advice (Please take the leaflet that came with your medicine and any remaining capsules with you to your pharmacy or GP practice).
• If you know anybody taking this medication please pass this information on.

To help the NHS reduce the cost of SMS we are actively trying to find alternative ways of communicating with our patients.

If you have the NHS app please ensure your notifications are switched on in order to receive SMS as this is free of charge.
Please can you ensure that your mobile number and email address are up to date with the practice.

Sending an SMS by email is still at a cost to the NHS but it is a less of a cost than SMS to your mobile number.

Some boxes of Sertraline 100 mg film-coated tablets, manufactured by Amarox Limited, may contain Citalopram 40 mg tablets.

All packs of Sertraline 100 mg film-coated tablets, Batch Number V2500425, are being recalled as a precautionary measure.

If you have been prescribed Sertraline 100 mg film-coated tablets and have received impacted product Batch Number V2500425, please check that the box contains the correct medication.

The batch number and expiry date can be found printed on the side of the outer box.
If the box contains blister strips that are labelled and contain Citalopram 40 mg film-coated tablets, please contact your pharmacy.

If the box contains blister strips that are labelled and contain Sertraline 100 mg film-coated tablets, you do not need to take further action.

If you have an affected pack or previously received this batch, (where known) and you believe you have taken the Citalopram 40 mg film-coated tablets that were included in error and are currently experiencing any side effects, most common possible side effects such as nausea, headache, sleep changes and mild anxiety please seek medical advice.

Please circulate this to anyone you know who takes this medication.
