😴 Struggling to get a good night's sleep?

Sleep affects every area of our health and wellbeing, yet some of the factors disrupting it aren't always obvious.

Here are 5 things that could be affecting your sleep:

📱 Screen time before bed
☕ Caffeine later in the day
🌡 A bedroom that's too warm
😟 Stress and a busy mind
🍷 Alcohol in the evening

Poor sleep can impact mood, concentration, energy levels, immunity and overall health.

If you're experiencing ongoing sleep problems, it's worth looking beyond your bedtime routine. Understanding the cause is often the first step towards better rest.

💚 Sleep isn't a luxury - it's an essential part of staying healthy.

🤧 Hay fever… or summer cold?

When the weather warms up, it can be difficult to tell what's causing your symptoms.

🌿 Hay fever is more likely if you have:
✔ Itchy eyes, nose or throat
✔ Sneezing fits
✔ A runny nose with clear mucus
✔ Symptoms that worsen outdoors or around pollen

🤒 A summer cold is more likely if you have:
✔ A sore throat
✔ Body aches
✔ A cough
✔ Thicker mucus
✔ Symptoms that improve within a week or two

The two can feel surprisingly similar, and sometimes allergies can leave you feeling just as tired and run down as a cold.

If you're unsure what's causing your symptoms, or over-the-counter treatments aren't helping, our GP team is here to help identify the cause and recommend the most appropriate treatment.

🌿 Enjoy the summer feeling your best.

💧 Feeling tired, headachy or a little foggy lately?

In warmer weather, dehydration can creep up more quickly than many people realise - and even mild dehydration can impact how you feel day to day.

Signs you may need to drink more water can include:
☀️ Headaches
☀️ Fatigue or low energy
☀️ Dizziness
☀️ Dry mouth
☀️ Difficulty concentrating

Small habits can make a big difference to your wellbeing:
✔ Keep a water bottle nearby
✔ Drink regularly throughout the day
✔ Eat water-rich foods like cucumber, melon & berries
✔ Limit excess caffeine and alcohol in the heat

If you’ve been feeling run down or not quite yourself, it’s important to listen to your body.

Our GP team is here to support your health and wellbeing this summer. 🌿

Signs can include:
• Repeating questions

• Changes in mood or behaviour

Concerned about memory changes in yourself or a loved one? Our GP team is here to help in a calm and confidential setting.

Hay fever season is well and truly here 🌿☀️

If you’re struggling with sneezing, itchy eyes, congestion, headaches or fatigue, you’re definitely not alone. For many people, hay fever symptoms can have a real impact on sleep, concentration and day-to-day life.

A few simple things that may help:
✔ Keep windows closed during high pollen times
✔ Shower and change clothes after being outdoors
✔ Start antihistamines early rather than waiting for symptoms to worsen
✔ Avoid drying washing outside on high pollen days

If symptoms are becoming difficult to manage, our GP team can help you explore the right treatment options and symptom relief.

💧 Are you drinking enough water? 💧

As the weather improves and we spend more time outdoors, hydration becomes even more important - yet it’s something many of us overlook.

Even mild dehydration can contribute to:
✨ Headaches
✨ Fatigue
✨ Poor concentration
✨ Dizziness
✨ Dry skin

For women in perimenopause or menopause, hydration can also play an important role in managing symptoms such as headaches, fatigue and hot flushes.

This weekend, try:
🥤 Keeping a water bottle nearby
🍓 Adding fresh fruit for flavour
☀️ Drinking a little more than usual on warmer days

Small habits can make a big difference to how you feel. 💙
