Wondered what you can do for your feet to ensure they are protected from the wintry weather?

First, make sure that you have sensible and sturdy footwear. It can be tempting to wear shoes that are more aesthetically pleasing but your feet will thank you if you go for the former! This includes making sure your shoes aren’t too tight to try and reduce the risk of developing conditions such as chilblains.

It is a good idea to wear socks or tights in the winter as well to try and regulate the temperature of your feet! It is important to try and keep your whole body warm though and not just your feet.

If you develop blisters right after getting new shoes please do not be tempted to wear them in. The formation of blisters indicates that they are the wrong type of shoes for you altogether.

If you are still concerned about your feet and/or are worried you have an infection then it is time to call in an expert! Give us a call on 01442 249080.
