Some goodbyes leave paw prints on our hearts forever. 🤍🌈

This week we said goodbye to Barnaby, known lovingly as B.

B had a big personality and wasn’t always the easiest boy—he certainly kept everyone on their toes. But to those who knew and loved him best, he was truly special. He lived a full life with his devoted family, bringing his own unique kind of joy, character and companionship into their home.

With heavy hearts, his family made the incredibly difficult but kindest decision to allow him to pass peacefully at home, surrounded by love, familiar voices and gentle hands. He slipped away calmly, wrapped in comfort and dignity, exactly where he belonged.

His cat sister Katie is now adjusting to life as an only child again, quietly reclaiming her space while no doubt still missing her canine companion in her own way. 💗

Run free now, Barnaby. 🌈 No more pain, no more worries—just endless adventures and sunshine until you meet your family again one day.

Thank you to Barnaby’s wonderful family for trusting SilverLiningsNW to be part of such a personal and emotional farewell. It was truly an honour to help him on his final journey.

This week we said goodbye to the beautiful Morgan.

Morgan was so deeply loved and lived the most wonderful life alongside his loyal brother, who is already missing his best friend. The bond they shared was truly special, and it’s heartbreaking to know one half of that partnership is now gone.

Sadly, Morgan was diagnosed with osteosarcoma (bone cancer). He fought with incredible courage for as long as he possibly could, but despite pain relief and the unwavering love of his family, the pain eventually became too much.

With heavy hearts, his family made the kindest and most selfless decision any pet owner can make—to let Morgan pass peacefully at home, surrounded by the people who loved him most. He slipped away gently, wrapped in love, dignity and familiar faces.

Run free now, beautiful Morgan. 🌈 No more pain, no more struggling—just endless fields to explore until you’re reunited with those who love you once more.
