Congratulations on another new partnership - Becky and Elizabeth ❤️

This is Becky's second guide dog, following Rishton - a beautiful boy who captured everyone's hearts. Becky said: "I didn’t need a dog that took Rishton's place, I needed one that would wheedle their way in and make their own place - and she’s done just that".

Becky was trained by Jess who she called: "brilliant... and a brilliant cheerleader throughout".

Congrats Becky, wishing you lots of happy years and adventures together 🐾

AI/Smart glasses are rising in popularity at a great speed. They are not only a fantastic aid to those with poor vision, but also to those with special needs and dementia🕶️👓

She has been searching for a new way to learn her lines ever since her sight began to deteriorate nearly 15 years ago, even hiring an assistant to read scripts to her.

Our longest customer’s story☀️👇🏽

Norah Burke has been coming to CK Optician’s since Helen’s father had the business, she has records going back to 1966 but is sure she was going before that! John took over the patients after qualifying in 1977.

We love this story👇🏽
Norah’s little boy couldn’t see the black board at school, the school nurse only noticed when she realised he was getting the information from the board off the little girl who sat next to him in class. That day the nurse told Norah that she needed to take him for an eye test and so she booked him in at CK and he wore glasses until he went to University👓🫶🏽

It is amazing to have so many long term patients, we have generations of families coming to our practices. With being an independently run family business, this means so much❤️
